I mistakenly thought they had Bumblefoot and Pitman on...instead it is just a confused ramble on what they are doing next week.  Nothing ground-breaking, or even new...hey, was that the photog from RS that just walked by?  The TM are cool when they have someone on, but this was pointless...

Pointless?  We were asked by Interscope to promote the listening parties.  We announced that Bubmlefoot will be at the NYC event.  Not everyone who is interested in this album is obsessive like us.  Many people do not know about these listening events.  If promoting something you believe in and feel strongly about is pointless then I guess you are right.  I think your post is a bit pointless but that's just me.

You do realize that the show is called Talking Metal?  As in talking about metal?  The point is that is the basis of the show.  Sometimes they talk amongst themselves, like fans tend to do, sometimes they have interviews.  They're knowledgeable hard rock and metal fans and I enjoy hearing their perspectives on music, even if it doesn't involve an interview.

I think pointless was just a bad choice of words.  Should've stuck with, nothing groundbreaking.  It's hard to get NEW information to us hardcore fans, but I certainly don't mind hearing any good news GNR related, even if I've heard it 100 times already.

As a GNR fan and a Talking Metal fan, I thought it was a cool short podcast. Nothing wrong with talking about what's going on in GNR land so that all rock fans can get the dish.... afterall C.D is what, 7 days away? Gotta get the word out there anyway possible.  ok

Sorry, pointless was a bad choice of words - there is a point obviously...what is it called when the guys do NFL pregame and just kind of go stream of thought?  Some people like it, some don't (once the game begins it doesn't really matter)...in this case it hit me the wrong way - perhaps because I was waiting for Bumblefoot and Pitman to be on, as I stated.  I am glad you are promoting in whatever way you can, and extremely glad you share my excitement on release of albums...totally psyched to have Bumblefoot at NYC event.

PS - I would conservatively guestimate 75% of the posts on these sites are pointless in the end, that why it is such harmless fun.  ok

Thank you guys for doing this podcast... it has been a great listen over the years and it's going to be awesome when you guys can play some new tunes on your podcast and have some new interviews and what not.
