Love kills more than booze can make up for

Seriously, think about it............

Going from from southwest of the Netherlands, through Germany, Denmark, Sweden, to pick up a bunch (well, like 100 items) of Guns N' Roses vinyls.

Left on Friday, at 4 in the morning, was in Sweden, at the seller, at 16:00 the same day ( yes, 12 hours, and covered little over 1200 km)
Then, make the deal, have some dinner, sleep in a really poor sleep over place, but well, a person needs to sleep........... next day, leave at 5:30 in the morning.

Leave Sweden, go to the northern part of Denmark to pick up a Dutch dude, in some way related to a far nephew, because he wants to see the Football in Holland, sunday evening.

Then, drive all the way down, to Hamburg, Germany, to pick-up some more Guns N' Roses records i had some-one collect for me in Germany............
In the bloody hot center of Hamburg too, it was 39.5 degrees Celsius......................

Then, go further trough Hamburg, to go on the highway again, back to Holland, and, i was back at 19:00 Saturday, (this evening 2 hours ago)

Costs..............

at least 160 euro on fuel (we covered little over 2600 KM in total)
4 times 30 euro (around) for fares on several bridges and tunnels..........
50 euro to spend the night
about 50 euro for food and drinks on the way...........

So, how about that?

And seriously, i had fun, we had an good BMW with air-con. set to a normal 22 degrees Celsius, so we, and the records would not melt in the heat (almost 40 outside)
Reason, i did not want to risk all this shipping (and it does cost a lot too, because it is very heavy) and it was a good way to spend some time with my little bro.....

Images will follow soon, when i unpack it all.............. Tongue

I think it's worth it if you picked up 100 items on your trip. Hope to see what's new in your collection soon!!!

@ MJ...... How would i contact you in case needed  Grin hahahaha

Value is hard to determine, but, as i am still building that vinyl "guide" website, i have found the best images now (took them myself) and got loads of information. There are so many versions and boots i know little of, but, this is big step forward indeed.

Now, i need to clean out the garage, lay some carpet or something on the floor, and then still i have not enough space to take it all in one photo.........

So, will be done in parts i think, but, will take some time, still need to label everything and sort it all out.

Fucken great stuff!  So did you make a few BIG purchases off just a couple of people on your trip?

With some of the pressing where you have "doubles" are they all the same or are lots of them pressings from different countries?  I don't mean the ones that are obviously visually different, just the other ones that look the same, e.g. It's So Easy I know there is the German as well as UK version of the 12 Inch are the others also German?

To be honest, half of all this is not mine.......
My and another fan bought all this from one big collector (and we did not buy all he had for sale) So, i bought like a few items, the rest is for a friend, i just picked it up for him, together with my stuff.
The things i collected in Germany, only 3 things, i had collected in about a year, but never got round to get them send to me by post, so i picked them up on the way home from Sweden too.

Most of this stuff i had allready. I allready have sold like a ton of stuff to my friend who now bought the other great deal of this collection, just because i did not see the extra value of getting more and more the same, like AFD from 10 countries orso. And, you might not believe it, but i still have a rather big wanted list, lol.

And, specially in the bootlegs case, this was a huge opportunity to get more good pictures for my website, and loads of information on them. Because the Swedish dude, had a lot stil in his house he did not want to get rid of, or what he had reserved for someone else. I took some pidtures there to (not here above, that is all in my house) Those i am editing now, and uploading to my website.
So, i have good information, accurate descriptions of sound qualities of the boots to use for the website, and, a real good deal on the things i bought, so, yeah, i am happy.  Tongue

with the albums they are mostly different countries, some have alternate backs. And UYI 1 and 2 and TSI i have the Russian pressing too, and those are actually boots.

In case of some early singles, where there are a lot the same, some came out the boxes, and were just put together for the sake of the pictures, just fun to see m all at the same place.....

Next year, i hope to have pictures taken from even more items, i have friend who has a HUGE collection of GNR vinyls to, and he has a lot i don't have, so, the plan is to combine our collections once, to make even a bigger collection, just to take some pictures, when i go home, i take my stuff all with me again, offcourse.

It's just for the fun of it we will do that, how often will one get to see a collection like that in one place?? (if you are not called Tim  peace)

So, hopefully, next year orso, there will be images of an even bigger collection of items combined on pictures, and i am really looking forward to that.

I did not do all this to brag or make any misinterpetation that it is all my stuff, just thought it would be cool to see it all in one place, trust me,  i'm drewling to when i see all this here, it's idiotic, so bad, that it is crazy, hahahahaha

Read carefully, we were there very shortly, not without reason  peace

Nah, nice country, really differs to Holland in many ways. Blondes? did not see to many really, i know there there, but they must have known i was there, they were all hiding?
Though, Sweden is pretty expensive in many way compared to Holland, is was still worth all of it, hahahaha
