It was chaos. As usual.  nervous

Most people posting the same things over and over and over.

Like the person who was constantly asking Ron if he would be her boyfriend in Brazil......

/jarmo

I was gonna make a account on that site and greet him or ask something but when I saw what was going on I lost the will to do it.

But still, it was fun to watch! Smiley

One of the questions I asked Ron was about why he started to play GN'R solo's almost note for note in 2009/10, than compared to 2006...

He said that he wanted to remain respectful to the original idea that was present during the song, and he wants the songs to sound like they should sound. He went on to say that on some songs he still improvises alot, for example the nightrain outro, because that's what the whole band is going for in those type of (long solo) songs. But he wanted everything else (even the Chinese Democracy stuff), to sound as close as it could be, to the sound on the record.

Nice Answer, I totally get what he's trying to get across here.  Smiley

I asked him if it was really important in music to learn all of the theory and scales. To which he said, "not really as long as your enjoying what your doing, it's fine. But it does help you to understand why things sound good and other things don't". He said that he was "someone who enjoyed the theory side of music", but he said "whatever works for you is the most important thing."

I also told him that I met him in Las Vegas, and he remembered me from the memorabilia store. That made me over the moon, I did actually also tell him about that when I met him again in 2008, in London, and again he remembered.  love

I also asked him if his own Bumblefoot songs where tuned down a full step, 1/2 step or standard tuning. To which he replied that "alot of his earlier stuff was standard tuning", but lately he said he's been using 1/2 step down, tuning for his songs.

If I remember more, I'll post it for sure.... Smiley

I too would like to thank Ron for doing this chat, and for going the extra mile and staying on all night...

I enjoyed every bit of it, and I'll never forget it. Ron was chatting to everyone, and having lots of laughs with everyone. And then his guitar skills, absolutely amazing, Ron can actually play anything you ask him too.

So on behalf of everyone who participated last wednesday, a big thank you to you Ron for an amazing night.  Smiley

Thank You Ron !!!!!!!!
