Imagine (I'm definitely getting ahead of myself here) Axl releasing new albums with both AC/DC and GN'R..

Guns has an entire globe they can soak money out of before new music really needs to be considered. I'm unsure of where AC/DC is in their trek this time out. Part of me thinks the reason Axl has taken this all on is so he doesn't have to release anything anytime soon if ever again, given the track record.

I appreciate the post about trying to make the site more positive and upbeat, and how it's fair to respect band members past and present, so does that mean we wont have any more 'I hope Steven Adler doesn't return' style threads then?
It can't just be I like this particular band member so don't say anything negative about them, however this particular one say what you like.

Preferring one guy to another is kinda normal. Or one album to another.

But you can still be respectful about it.

Jarmo, do you think you are maybe a bit more sensitive and overprotective of the latter half of the CD era because you got to know those guys?

That post from siraddam about Steven Adler got me thinking.  Because we did have several entire threads that were pretty anti-Steven.  And they were allowed to flourish here in the big room, sometimes for an entire week or more.  An entire week or more of some pretty negative stuff.

But if even the odd disparaging post is made about the 2009-2014 incarnation, you pounce like a puma.  Forget an entire thread about them being permitted to prosper, you outright scrub any single post about them you don't like.

Is that why?  Because you know them?

Maybe, maybe not.

All I know is that Steven Adler hasn't been in GN'R since 1990. And considering his history, I can see why some fans are hesitant to just let the past be the past etc.
I get it. Doesn't mean you gotta be disrespectful though.
But the thing seems to be that people pick sides. If you want him in the band, you can't like Frank. And vice versa. These disagreements tend to lead to people defending their guy and it can get ugly... Unfortunately.

Regarding the negative comments about what happened between 1996 and 2015, well same thing there. Show some respect. I know that some of you probably went along with the ride for years, feeling upset that the old band wasn't together anymore. I get it.

But there were many of us who weren't. We enjoyed GN'R as they were. And there's really no need for some of you to try to disrespect those line ups or belittle those fans who did enjoy that era, just because you got what you were hoping for for about 20 years.....

Most of us are happy today, excited even. That's all that matters.

Fair enough.  I see that side of it.

Being a trained professional doesn't make you superhuman. Just ask that zookeeper who, even though her professional specialty was working with tigers, got mauled and killed by a tiger last month.
