Well, Nokia this and Nokia that.
Everytime something goes wrong for Finland, Hockey or whatever, that's their reply.
- At least we got Nokia.

We got a fair dose In Jyv?skyl? area last weekend.Everything is slippery,cold,wet and white as a rehab wall:
And I have yet to buy decent winter/army boots.Thus,I keep falling all over the place!

Uh oh, snow in October....
We had a temperature of about -10C/14F the other morning, but no snow. Which is a good thing.....
I didn't see any polar bears on that webcam pic. I wonder where they're hiding.

The one you listed is the university.
If you like shopping, check out Stockmann. It's the biggest department store in the Nordic countries.
On the other side of the street, you'll find the Academic Bookstore. I recommend that one if you like books. They have English books too.
Then there's the places every tourist goes to, the Sibelius Monument, Temppeliaukio church (a church carved into a hill of granite), Senate Square etc etc.
The "wilderness" isn't that far away from Helsinki. You just need to get outside of Keh? III (a road that goes from west to east).

I know.. I was there last weekend. My friend had a birthday party. We ended up going to Sandra (I know, I know.. at least alcohol was cheap), from where we continued to Elohuvi. Now I can explain. I was very very drunk. And my friends insisted we go there. Besides I hadn't been there before. Nor will I be going there again after the first visit. Not my kinda place as far as I can remember (not a lot). Well, in the end I had a great time, but the bars we really gotta select more carefully next time.
