Does anyone else see coincidence here?

Whenever ex-members of GN'R do something big together something pops up in the GN'R camp...for example

- Izzy tours with Duff in Japan...Guns pop up on MTV
- Izzy, Slash and Steven jam together, and Izzy, Slash and Duff jam with Camp Freddy....the first whiff of GH pops up
- VR release their new album...GH comes out in many places across the world, Guns N' Roses play their first gig in years and rumours abound about CD.

And what exactly did Axl say at the end of the VMA performance? Round One?

What's Round Two? Who gets 'in the ring' for that round? The ex-members?!

This puzzles me...does anyone else see it?

Yeah, and it's a genius move on GNR's part. Steal any former member's thunder.

if they are doing that (stealing VR's thunder) then axl is pathetic, he said that he wouldnt help the former members in anyway, but its ok for them to help him sell? i doubdt that is the case here...

by the way, when chinese democracy was supposed to come out, both duff and slash released albums around "gnr" time... so i think its the other way around  peace

I think by ROUND ONE he was referring to his fight, battle.. against the doubters.

Just my guess.

I agree with GunnerDownUnder 199% on this one. ok yes

I think to Axl's mind, playing at the MTV awards was a major triumph for him and also a strong left hook, to all of the people who've taken a cheap shot at him when they thought he was down.

A lot of people have been making fun of the guy over the years.

a gnr vs vr feud would catapult both of their careers into the stratosphere

people love that kind of shit, if each band bad mouths the other it will do for rock what the east coast west coast rap war did for rap music

it will make it interesting and make it explode

He really proved those doubters wrong with the tour...

What thunder? They haven't achieved anything great yet.....

The formation of Velvet Revolver in itself is pretty cool, not to mention the relative success of "Set Me Free".  But really, an even better question would be how was that thunder stolen?  Greatest Hits?  Rock In Rio?

But the jokes increased ten-fold after that performance...

I'm not English but I believe that I was pretty clear when I said "great".

If the formation of a band or a small hit is something "great" to you, then I suggest you go and create some band. You'd be pretty succesful by your standards.

And I never said that they tried to steal their thunder. I was just talking about the "thunder"...
