I think it's clear that Axl has surrounded himself with "yes-men" for a long time. Whenever anyone questions him, heads roll. So, he has a management team, label team, and band who sit back and do whatever he says and get paid well for doing so. I'm sure Geffen are wishing they would have dumped GNR right after Live Era was released because it would have saved them millions. If you're looking to spread blame beyond Axl, here's an anology. Axl is the abusive drunk who comes home and beats his kids and wife. The label, GNR mgt, and the band members all represent the enabling wife who sits back and says nothing.
