Whatever dude.  I'm not sure how you are able to defend Ger coming on your board and basically saying "I'm going to have dinner with Dizzy Friday and I'm not going to ask him anything...nananananah."

Because I don't care.

It's her decision, I don't really care what they talk about or don't talk about at dinner.


My opinion is, and has always been, they'll tell us when they're ready.

You're not gonna get any exclusive news by bugging the members at their solo shows.

Especially since it's Axl that you should ask.  

And don't you think that Dizzy, if Ger is in fact his aunt, would be more willing to give info to her than to me?

Sure that's possible.  But I have a hard time believing that Dizzy, or any of the band members that might still belong to GNR, really care anymore whether Axl wants them to stay quiet.

All I'm saying is that she should at least ask.  I would...and I bet you would too.  You may say that you "don't care"....but no one starts and maintains the biggest online GNR forum/website in the world unless they actually care.

You guys are a riot!! I don't mean to sound uncaring. I'd really like to ask Dizzy what the hell is going on with GN'R these days, but you have to understand. There are some things he can't discuss with me. I am his aunt, of course and I am really into GN'R music, but like I said and I know it sounds callous,but we just don't talk shop when we're together. Seriously! Everyone knows as much as I do on these boards,and then some. Sure I could pick up the phone any time, call him and bitch at him about GN'R, but that isn't going to get Chinese Demoracy out any sooner. Axl has the last word. I didn't mean to piss anyone off. But after awhile the same questions being asked, do get a bit old, and I have a wonderful relationship with my nephew. I just don't see the point of me asking him the same questions over and over. If there was a way for Dizzy to come on these forums to set a few records straight, I'd jump at the chance, but I don't see that happening. If I had a laptop to take with me to Leo's on Friday, I'd probably ask him to post. I have told him all about the wonderful fans he has on the web. I told him to let Axl know also. Maybe they both surf the forums when they aren't busy, who knows?

I love their music. But I don't care about some of the other stuff. I don't lose sleep over the fact that there's no new album, I don't trash stuff because a show gets cancelled (twice for me in 2001), I'm not mad at Axl because he doesn't tell us what's going on etc.


Sure, if I ever met a band member, I'd ask about their music. But if the answer was "I can't say", I wouldn't be insulted or angry.....

Actually, the most interesting question might be why they have this policy of being so quiet.

GNR is obviously not, nor should it be, Aunt Ger's primary concern when spending time with her nephew, yet at  the same time, Dizzy could give a one word answer with regard to Bucket...

By no means do we laugh at anyone's expense!! Dizzy is always happy to hear what I tell him about the posts I read. He does have a laptop, and  no doubt reads for himself, when he finds the time. But I don't think he's takes it with him when he tours. For those that have actually met and talked with him, they would agree, he'll answer any questions you ask him if he in deed knows the answers. He's one cool guy, and to quote what Harry said the last time I saw them, "Dizzy has never let his fame and fortune go to his head." He treats everyone the same, and never once holding his head to high. I'm very proud of his accomplishments. I promise I will ask him a few questions, but like I said, not sure if he'll be able to answer any of them.

Naaah I'm not the only one that could possibly know what is going on these days with GN'R. Dizzy's wife Lisa knows a hell of a lot more, but she too can't or won't say much. I don't even ask her. And I'm included in those 10 years of waiting. I just keep listening to the old stuff over and over again. You know something? That is what keeps me going. I know sooner or later, Chinese Democracy will be out and it will be the best. But until then, I'll just keep playing the old songs.
