i'm not sure he wanted it to sell.  if he had faith, why even go through with the lawsuit?  he didnt want this album to sell.  but what do i know, i dont know the guy...

maybe,but faight between axl and geffen was great marketing for new album.
And every sceptic know now "Axl Rose is one of the biggest rock stars ever"
