this is gonna be HUGE! if they actually show, which i hope. and believe. and thinking that this is gonna be televized like rock in rio 3 it's gonna reach out to millions and millions of people! this is excactly what thi band needs right now, i think. do you think that they will broadcast it on the internet, like in 2001! cause that was one big internet party! Cheesy i hope to hear some new songs, but mainly i'm just anxious to see guns n' roses on stage again, and actually hearing guns n' roses music being played live with w. axl rose himself on vocals! Grin
only two months to go now!! peace y'all

Yeah, the impact will be huge. This is the moment that will make or break GNR from here on out. And don't worry, they will be there, but it will almost be surreal to see them out there on a huge fucking stage playing tons of songs we've never heard before...

I wouldn't count on hearing anything new. And not to put a damper on things, but this concert will have little to no impact on the industry if they do not release at least a single before the show. They better have the album release announced before then as well. If not, it is just another show and just another nostalgia act out ot make a little money.

I hope so.  Otherwise, you are right, it's just another attempt to cash in on old material.

I once respected the antics of Axl and GNR.  Because the music spoke for itself, and afforded them the ability to do as they pleased.  Now, with no new music, I believe I am loosing patience for the bullshit.

Hopefully we will get some news by/at Rock in Rio.  I'm getting tired of hearing myself complain.

The impact of RIR all depends on whether or not AXl shows first of all. If that happens, then it will only have a really big impact if we see a new guitarist (Paul HugE!!) and hear new material. If it ends up being the SOS as the last few shows this band played, then it means little other than that Axl is alive.

all i care about in regards to rio is this:
1} is bucket in or out
2} if out, why and who is the replacement
3} what axl has to say

I could give two shits about anythign else....actually i hope they dont play any new songs.....if they play newer songs i dont want the big guns. I want the non big guns so that i get to hear the studios first.

Yeah it is going to be a great impact having Guns N' Roses at RIR IV this year. All I care about is if anyone replacemnt BH or not. And when the album is going to come out.  ok I don't care that much if they don't play any new songs.

Is GN'R ever going to confirm this gig or what? I'm starting to wonder about Axl's "masterplan".

This is a big gig. They have to do it if they have any plans on being around and relevant in the next 12 months. I am seriously expecting a pull out sometime in the next couple of weeks.
