I didn't know we could ask "serious" questions too about music and CD. Ok then, I'll add those:

- We heard songs on the new album will have different styles/ influences. What kind of song do you prefer to play? A rocker like Chinese Democracy or a mid-tempo song like Madagascar?

- Will the new album include any cover of songs by other artists (like Live And Let Die and Knockin... on Use Your Illusion)? If you don't want to disclose any song title/ artist, what kind of song would it be?

- You have played from clubs to open-air festival venues in 2001/2002, what kind of crowd do you enjoy the most?

- What bands did you discover in the past few years and which ones do you respect and enjoy listening to?

- Lots of fans would like to see a recent show on DVD format. In case it happens, which one (from 2001/2002) would YOU like to be transferred onto DVD format? Would you like to do something like Pearl Jam did for their 2000 tour (a song for each show on the same DVD)?

- A new trend now for bands is to sell all their concerts on official CD sets which are available just after the concert? Is it something you would like to do on the next tour with GN'R?

+ my previous questions... beer

Who is the judge of the questions?  Mysteron + mods?

Anyway, it would be cool if Axl could see just how worldwide his fanbase really is.  If some questions get chosen - please ask for the poster's country.

I am sure Axl would love to see that.  It's something very special to GNR that most other bands simply dont have.

Can you can a can in a can? (joke...)

what hapened in the past years, like the dead of Shannon Hoon, did have influenced in your music?

GNR have a lot of fans in Brazil, and you PROMISE on rock in rio 3 that you will back in the next summer with the news songs and never came. Did you considerer to come to Brazil sometime?

Do you know something about the brazilian music (specialy about rock)? If so, what bands you know?

Do you will go to a Velvet Revolver Gig? (another joke Tongue)

I like the question about if he likes the internet and if he visits fan forums.

I also agree that we shouldn't ask too much about CD only because he says what he wants to say when he has something to say.  Abusing our one in a million chance may just lose it for us Sad

I would like to know if he goes to his bandmembers shows when they go off on their own (like Dizzy and Tommy) or if he enjoys their music.

Does he read the support letters and other things that fans send him or are they just kinda an annoyance (ok, maybe don't ask that question....but I do wonder about it)

I hope we can get even some answers.....and not just about CD.  I also hope that the answers don't get thrashed by people or labled fake when they come back  no

Good idea though  ok  beer

Here are a few from me ( crosses fingers)

1) After all these years of late nights, of sex and booze and rock and roll, now you've been off the music scene for a while, do you feel more healthy ?

2) What's your favorite spot in the world and why ?

3) How's the cooking coming along ? ( got to ask , him phoning Beta about it in that article made me smile so much, after a few years, am really curious about it) hihi Wink Wink Wink Wink ok

4) You recently bought a Pegasus we heard, are you big for Antiques and what period do you prefer ?

Sorry, nothing to do with music, i trust you guys and girls will ask those and i would really like to know a little more about " him" rather than the rock star. ( if he doesn't mind ?)

Thank you.

This seems a litle weird but what the hell

1) Do you remember me screaming like a wild woman in the front row in T.O and London,Ontario? (Not likely)
No Really - I don't feel I need to ask him anything.

I would just love for him to know that I have a son who is 7 and thinks he (Axl) is great!!! He is taking guitar lessons and asks his teacher about GNR all the time, I think his first song will be Sweet child O Mine. He tells everyone at school that one day he will meet Axl and that Axl and GNR rule (past and present.)

I admire him and would like him to know that the world needs his energy and great musical talent Right Now!!!!!

This is completely insane (and it's not a bad thing).

Here's mine:

What is the most important thought that has ran through your head during the past decade?

And here's one for everyone:

Why didn't we come up with this question idea much sooner?

If this works it will be amazing.

Only really one thing i want to ask, im sure all my questions about the album will be answered from other questions.:

1. How would you feel about doing this  'answer 10 questions from the fans' about once a month. Its and excellent way of keeping eveyone updated before the album comes out? Maybe even get different band members to answer questions and some of the people involved in making the album.

Yet again if this works its going to be amazing, could bring about a huge change to this board.

1)What is your typical day like?
2)what kind of things do you do when your away from working on Chinese Democracy
3)How do you go about the writing process?
4)what was your greatest experince witht the old version of GNR, the greatest so far with the new GNR?
5)Of all the new songs he has written which one is his favorite?
6)How is his guitar playing coming?

well I guess that is it,

oh yeah ask him when he is gonna get someone to update the website, or something, and if he does do this thank him.

Having read through everyone's posts - I'd  add the following to my suggestions which I already posted.....

What hobbies do you enjoy?  Do you collect any art or memorabilia?  Any culinary pursuits?  What type of reading material do you enjoy? Do you travel recreationaly?  Can you tell us about your favorite destinations?
What is your perception of the internet fan base? Despite the 'garbage' do the efforts of your loyal fans to show love and support reach you?
Several GN'R bandmates are pursing solo efforts? What are your feelings regarding these and involvement if any?
What can we look forward to as far as DVD and music video releases?
Musical interests?  Concerts attended? CD's purchased?  Fav vocal artists?  What releases are you looking forward to?

I feel that these are already incorporated in asking him his thoughts/feelings regarding: 2001-2002 shows/tour:
- Larger venues vs. Smaller venues.  Fav show? Fav crowd? Fav venue? Fav memories of tour?  Etc.

And I feel that these are alreadty incorporated in asking for comments on the Upcoming CD and Tour plans:
- Any covers?  Duets?  Types of venues planned for tour?  Will CD have parental advisory sticker? Is it a double album? Is the title still CD? Why styles can be expected?  Etc.

I really liked these suggestions, though they may be covered under the general idea of having him comment as he is comfortable with on the CD...  but if it is opted not to refer to CD directly - then these are great specific questions to ask:
- What is your songwriting process? What type of style are you trying to create with the new band and music? What influences have you drawn from and how diffiuclt is it to be original and creative?
Further I'd add one that takes the guitar lessons question a step further (if we could):
- Do you play guitar or any other insttuments on the upcoming CD?
And I really liked this questions also:
- Might the Piano intro you played on the 2002 Tour be part of an entire new song/arrangement?
- Have you ever considered making a "piano album" with jazz, blues etc?

Sorry I didn't put 'credits' next to the ones I cited here... It was a bit of a task as it was to compile and filter, and streamline duplicates etc.

OK, people these are the best questions, hot off the presses from anarchy's head:

We've all heard "You are an asshole and everyone knows it", but who's the asshole?

If we believe what people write about you, then you are a complete recluse who only leaves his house to sing infront of thousands of people. Why is your house so great?

Why did you decide to agree to answer these questions now?

Word on the street is that you've been taking guitar lessons, are you any good?

What's the last record you bought yourself from an proper record store?

That whole rock n roll superstar thing, how's it treating you?

Joke question:

Tell us absolutely everything you can about Chinese Democracy, and can I have a job?

My question would be -

What was your fravorite moment with the old band and what was your fravorite moment with the new band?
EDIT: Someones already asked this - but it still stands. ok

Also....

What if any gym stuff do you do? I do alot of running but can find it boring (on the treadmill) yet it seems to be the best way of keeping fit. Any ideas on good interesting ways of keeping fit at the gym?

Also....

Do you think Gn'R will ever play intimate theatre/club venues again even as a one off or do you see the new band as a arena/stadium band?

Also....

I was at Leeds 2002 - you rocked - what was the experiance like and would you consider coming back again?

Oh, and thanks for answering the questions!
