The portland VR show has been cancelled and is rescheduled for June 22.

Word is that Slash has fallen ill...

All is well then if they plan on showing up the 22nd.....if not then again they deserve all the criticism they will get. Hopefully we get some sort of explanation for what is going on.

Again, if they show up on the 22nd now as they claim they will.....then all is well and there is nothing to get wound up about. Cancellations suck when shows are not made up.

Damnit the VR fans should have rioted in portland.  Now that would have made things equal.  Ha however I don't count my chickens yet it still may happen

May the speculation and rumours begin!!  I just hope that everyone in the band, their families, etc... is all right and the remainder of the tour will continue as schedueled.

their album drops next week. to end the tour would be suicide.
cancellations are par for the course on tours, i am not worried at all. Even if they don't re-schedule Portland, i don't think we need to worry about an aborted tour.  no

They already re-scheduled it sounds like, which is fine as long as they show up the day they claim they are going to to play this show.

So the show hasn't been cancelled, it's merely been postponed.

Wow there are a lot of parallels to the gnr tour and the VR thus far eh?

Name one.

Let's see....the VR tour has featured no riots, no unexplained no-shows, no childish rage-driven rants, not to mention good reviews, a setlist of almost all new songs, and the fact that they have an actual album they are supporting.

So again, how exactly does this parallel Axl's 2002 tour?

How are riots GNrs fault? If any other rock show or any type of show gets cancelled do other fans riot? How the hell is it Gnrs fault?

Vancouver came with an explanation. Only Philly is the non explanation.

Lol childish rants I love it. Are you a little girl? This is rock n roll not fukin ethics class. No1 cared when Axl used to go on much more longer and childish rants back in the day but when he does on a lil rant now its absurd and disgraceful.

They have a setlist of new songs because they have an album coming out. Actually there setlist is nothing to brag about. Its the same 1 everynight. They dont even play all the songs from the album...Plus its like a robot...song then scott says the same thing each night.....so predicatble...

Maybe its because they have curfews? Theres rock n roll for ya......

Yea I know gnr played the same setlist in 2002 but they werent out supporting their album. When they release their album and tour for it and they are playing the same set in the same order with Axl saying the same "rants" in a programmed type manner then come and call me a hypocrite.....

You entirely missed the point of my post.  My intention was to refute Dave's ridiculous claim that VR's and Axl's tours were paralleling each other, not to assign blame.

Slash is sick, huh?  Why is it that Weiland walked off stage the night before then ... seems like quite a conincidence, hmm?  Seems like they have trouble coming up with a believeable lie.

Parallels

1. Stopping a show earlier
2. Cancelling a show
3. Going on late ( seattle VR went on very late)
4. scott had childish rants, oh I guess you didnt hear "girls love this song because its good to fuck to"

As for reviews, gnr had good reviews too, so I dont know what you are talking about. And the only negatives in most of the gnr reviews were its not the old band.

As for VR playing mostly new songs well of coarse its a new band, VR never had an old album so how could they play old songs?

This tour has just started and there are already parellels.
I bet there will be more.

Anyone think about the fact that perla's due date is this month. She could have had the baby early.

Or god forbid something may of been wrong with her or the baby.

I thought it was mid june, but I could be wrong.

BTW, anyone saying that they have a gig scheduled the same night as the make up in denver is technically right, but because of scotts probation, no show after the 9th is officially been given the go ahead, so it can be changed at anytime before being proposed to the judge next time scott is in court (This thursday)

I think she was due in June.  That was the first thing that I thought of when I heard that Seatle ended early and Portland was canceled.  My first son was born 1 month early and my second was born 2 weeks early so it's possible.

Parallels

1. Stopping a show earlier

Fair enough.

Quote
2. Cancelling a show

They have yet to cancel a show.  The Portland show has been postponed, not cancelled.

Quote
3. Going on late ( seattle VR went on very late)

Again fair enough.

Quote
4. scott had childish rants, oh I guess you didnt hear "girls love this song because its good to fuck to"

That wasn't a rant, and not exactly childish.

Okay, so you've got two parallels, but two doesn't constitute a "lot" of parallels.

I posted, then retracted something to this effect last night.

I know the baby shower was indeed last Sunday, but that hardly enlightens us on anything pertaining to the postponement.

Until a official reason is given, non VR fans, VR fans that had tickets to the show etc. have every right to speculate/bitch/compare whatever.

It comes with the territory.
