wonder if vh1 has dug up any new inside info. I'm starting to get pretty excited about this show. Hopefully it won't be incredibly lame.

It's going to be lame (at least to us) because we know everything.  hihi Behind The Music exists in two formats: one and two hour episodes. One hours episodes are pretty much just a cliff's notes of a band's musical career. I've seen enough of these things to know that you don't really get anything unless its 2 hours (the Aerosmith BTM was the best one). But obviously i'm going to still watch it. I'm sure it will be interesting for people who don't follow the bands like we do, but for us, it will be anything new, especially since most of the main guys aren't contributing to it.

Any info as to when Much More Music would air this bad boy (so to speak Smiley) ??

Their Story of Guns n' Roses was just a bunch of cut n' paste clips from various interviews, so I am definitely looking forward to VH1's Behind the Music in a big way.

For what it's worth I remember reading that Slash and Steven Adler did interviews that were recorded for the documentary.  We'll see.

Couldn't VH1 have accommodated fans a bit better?  3 in the Afternoon?  What happened to the VR show that was scheduled to be on the same night?

It comes on again later (8 or 9, I believe).  The daytime showing is more like a sneak preview.

I'm pretty sure what Much More Music aired is what you'll be seeing on VH1, because Much More Music generally just takes all of VH1's shit, i hope its different tho, i do.

I swear, VH1 is just like GnR. When I first saw the scrolling bar on the "100 Most Metal Moments", it just said "Wednesday" as the date. Naturally, I thought that meant today. But I had checked the site last Friday, and it mentioned the 16th.  Then on Monday, it showed up as "Wednesday, June 23rd".  Now it's the 30th...

Anyone else notice them pushing this back???

Does anybody think that maybe vh1 did get axl to do an interview but are just staying quiet about it? I tend to not think that.

But maybe they wanna suprise people or maybe axl said he didn't want it to be known until it was aired . It's just hard for me to believe that they would do a behind the music without the guy that currently owns and tours under the name.

I can't think of any btm episodes that didn't have the lead singer do an interview. now i'm sure they will have some older interviews, but i'm probably just overly optomistic, unlike most people i'm pretty excited to see the show even if it doesn't have axl. I haven't seen an hour long show about gn'r on mtv or vh1 in a long time.

Thats strange as to why it keeps gettin knocked back  Huh, I mean I dont think a Viacom/VH1 would wanna lose any credibility even over the airing of the correct airing date of BTM.

That's what comes to mind...unfortunately it's highly unlikely.

Don't you think the legal issues between Axl & Slash/Duff (which we haven't heard about for the past few weeks --- hmmmm) could be one of the reasons for the delays of the show? Just speculating but that could be a reason. I just don't think CD is ready to be released (or Axl has interviewed for that thing), otherwise, we would have seen more signs than just those delays.

Maybe Mysteron could help us out on this? Wink
