Last night, I saw L.A. Guns and Dokken live -- at least what's left of them.  Both bands only have two of the four originals members left.  With both bands, it's the vocalist and drummer who are originals, the bassist and guitarist have been replaced.

Having said that, both bands put on a great show, performing old and new songs.  They were very friendly and communicative with the crowd, both Phil Lewis and Don Dokken were high-fiving fans (Including myself) throughout their sets.  A couple hundred people were in the club, it was packed and the crowd was completely into both bands, singing along, headbanging, all that good shit.   Cool  Oh yeah, and I got a brief lap dance from a really hot, though thoroughly drunken chick.   Grin  Several other guys got hugged and kissed by the same girl, who disappeared after the L.A. Guns set.  God, I hope she wasn't driving herself home.

Both bands just released new albums; Dokken's is one of original material called Hell to Pay, L.A. Guns' new one is a cover album (a la The Spaghetti Incident).  They were selling them at the show, and both bands did a meet-and-greet after their respective sets, so I bought both of their CDs and met the band and got autographs.  Nice guys, and they put on a great show.   Cool

Does Dokken's new guitarist even hold a candel to george lynch?

that guy was amazing, it would be hard to find another person who could play like him.

The new guitarist is really good, though not quite on par with George Lynch.

No, they didn't play that one; a pity because it's my favorite Dokken song!  That's actually the first time I ever heard Dokken, when I saw Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and heard that song.

I saw them at Jaxx nightclub in Springfield, VA.
