I'd have to say John Zorn "Hockey" was my least favorite.  I really like John Zorn but felt this album was pure tripe......

Like to see your least favs........

Ratt - Ratt and Roll 81-91...i like hair metal and all...but that was pretty awful...especially for a "greatest hits" album.

The Jungle is mostly for bashing other people's political views  hihi

Bad Obs. is a catch-all for music related stuff right?

Anyway, I think the worst album I ever bought is one called Pure Moods.  I went through a new-age phase (Enya type stuff) for a few months and wasted my $$   crying

Informatix probably self-titled, purple cover, horrible.

---All of the albums that were named are better, i'd take any one of 'em before this.

Why are you reading this?

Probably 'the best of diamond Head'.

I was tempted to give it a go by Metallica's numerous Diamond Head covers. The songs are good, but their vocalist (whose name I can't remember) - ugh- he makes Justin Hawkins sound like Aretha Franklin.

I really don't think St. Anger is as bad as people make it sound.  It's far better than ...And Justice For All, I think - less self-indulgent, more to the point.

I would say the worst album I ever bought, that I can think of, is Neil Young's Greendale.  Now, I LOVE Neil Young, but his discography varies greatly in quality.  This is definitely one of his worse albums - long pointless jams that take the same musical pattern to excruciatingly boring extremes.  It has only two good songs..."Falling From Above", and "Be The Rain", which is one of his best songs ever.  If the whole album were like "Be The Rain", I wouldn't be discussing it here.

Also, avoid The Best of Herman's Hermits.  I bought that a long time ago, and I would have been better off just listening to the oldies station they played all the songs on.

To each his own and all, but I don't agree at all. "Justice" is a classic. Great songs, great build-ups, good lyrics, good production, well written songs, melody and harmony, good solos, and heavy as shit.

St. Anger has no good songs. The entire album sounds like one big mush. There is no melody, the sound of the drums makes the entire CD hard on the ears and unlistenable, the lyrics are trite, there are no hooks, there are no guitar solos, and the vocals and the album as a whole sounds monotonous. I don't know what they were thinking when they released this album. It's just so bad.

Unquestionable justice is not only Metallica's worst album but the second worst album in my collection (after SOAD - Toxicity) Justice is shocking from start to finish - everything sounds wrong its as if all 4 of them went away did their own thing them mashed it together - the drums sound like they were written for a totally different song and the guitars are the most average i have ever heard

One is totally unremarkable - but its that godawful drum sound throughout the album which has prevented me listening to the album in years.....

Opinions suck, and mine is that Justice is Metallica's best album. The production sucks ass but musically it's brilliant, and that's what matters.

I personally don't have a lot of bad albums, because I have extremely good taste in music, but the worst ones I have are Bj?rn Lynne - Wolves of the Gods and the two The Kovenant albums that came after Nexus Polaris. Mayhem's Grand Declaration of War is no masterpiece either..

System Of A Down are class dude ok their studio stuff isn't great and ill admit i did sell my albums of theirs but i was short on cash and had to get rid of something and at the time i was not to keen but at Leeds last year they won me over again, they were also fuckin' hilarious guys when they had to stop after one song, chatting to the crowd and after the music was great i think they upstaged Metallica that night.  Speaking of Metallica St. Anger is their worst album my original view of the album was it's not bad now i hate it, as for Justice i used to think One was the only good track but now i love them all Blackened is one of my fave tracks of all time.  Anyway on topic worst album i have ever bought....mmmm.....

Metallica - St. Anger

Just to vary what people are saying ill mention some others:

Slash's Snakepit  - It's Five O'Clock Somewhere
Europe - 1982-1992
Various Artists - Appetite For Reconstruction
Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish And......[Can't Remember The Rest of It]
Kid Rock - Grit Sandwiches For Breakfast
Duff Mckagan - Believe In Me [Can't believe i used to like it no ]

I like Believe In Me. It's of like a punk version of Paul McCartney's first album. It's sloppy and Duff plays most of the instuments, (McCartney played everything). It's a homemade album that reads like a diary.
