Tickets fro the first wembley show sold out very soon after going on sale last friday. Tickets for the rest of the UK shows (inc the second wembley show) go on sale on friday morning. Of course, if you are willing to fork out the $100 dollars to join the fanclub, or if you have access to an American Express card, you buy in the presale, which is already on for the second Wembley show.

Thanks to ebay, I am going to see them at Wembley on the 20th.  Cool I was fortunate to find a that were not being sold for too much more than the face value. Hey, I'll probably only end up with a marginally better view than I would get from the Goodyear blimp, but I'm dead chuffed all the same. And I know people say about all of their tours, but this really could be the last time. (Charlie's recent Cancer scare reminded us all that they won't be able to keep this touring lark up for too much longer).

The Rolling Stones' 2005 North American tour is the most successful of all time, it has been reported.

The 'A Bigger Bang' concert tour of North America, which ran over 42 dates from August 21 in Boston to Dec. 3 in Memphis, grossed $162m (?94m), reports Pollstar. The jaunt, seen by over 1.2m people, overtakes the band's 11-year-old record of $76.8m (?70.1m), set on the 'Voodoo Lounge' tour.

Really cool about the stones, but I wonder if its really the biggest tour of "all times". I mean arent there any other bands or singers who have made it bigger and earned more money? I know those Stones figures are huge but I still have doubts.

Is this necessarily accurate? I mean have they grossed more because ticket prices are more expensive (especially for a Stones gig!)?

I saw the Anaheim show.  I was very disappointed.  It was probably the worst performance that I have seen of the Stones.  Additionally, people (including myself) pay a boat load of money to see them now (I think our tickets were about $100 each, and we were very very far from the stage), and I am sick of having "Give me Shelter," "Wild Horses," and other classics left off the play list so Keith Richards can play his solo garbage.  This was definately the last time I am going to see the Stones.

While it is hardly a repeat of ?nipplegate?, the Rolling Stones performance today at the half time SuperBowl event appears to have been censored.

The Stones performed three songs at the show. The line from their current song ?Rough Justice? seemed to have had audio problems just as Mick was about to sing the word ?cocks?.

The lyrics go ?once upon a time I was your little red rooster/now I?m just one of your cocks?.

We can only assume that an ?honest mistake? also occurred when The Stones performed the classic ?Start Me Up?. In the original version, the last line in the song is ?you?d make a dead man cum?. It appears the SuperBowl must have been running short on time, not permitting the band to get that far into the song before it ended.

The only song that escaped censorship was the 40 year old classic ?Satisfaction?.

The SuperBowl performance became a global laughing stock in recent times after Janet Jackson?s ?wardrobe malfunction? became a tabloid scandal dubbed ?nipplegate?.

If the people behind the SuperBowl are equally offended by Stones lyrics, then maybe they should broadcast their show next year through the Disney Channel.

The only song they played off Bridges to Babylon is Out of Control, on the beggining of the tour... They could play Saint of Me, thats a great song also
