What is it like - more like a heavy metal SATD feel or a more Poison kinda feel?

Ive got a backlog of albums I wanna get -
Motley - SATD, TOP
Faster Pussycat - Faster Pussycat
LA Guns - Cocked And Loaded
Beastie Boys CD (Not sure which one to get yet)

Shout At The Devil is heavier than Theatre of Pain, Theatre is more chilled very good to relax to with the song 'Home Sweet Home' which i heard inspired Axl a bit with November Rain i think not quite sure while Shout At The Devil has catchy songs like 'Ten Seconds To Love', 'Looks That Kill', 'Helter Skelter', 'Too Young Too Fall In Love' and many other i recommend both but would pick up Shout At The Devil first

I tried to remember the exact year all the albums were released, but my memory is so clogged, and I didn't feel like dragging all my tapes & cds out.  Oh well, I guess that's what I get for being lazy.
BTW, thank you for correcting me Dizzy. Smiley

I'm not a massive maiden fan (though I am seeing them live next month), so I have not yet heard those albums.

Come to think of it I nominate 'MAchina 2: The friends and enemies of moderfn music' (smashing pumpkins) for 2000.

1998 - DJ Shadow "Endtroducing"

Im surprised by this pick...didnt think you were a hip-hop fan for some reason (even though this is an unconventional hip-hop record).

But Endrtroducing was released in 1996.

Im not a big fan of the DJ Shadow album, but I suggest you check out RJD2 - Dead Ringer (2002), an instrumental record similar to Endtroducing, but better.

I wasn't born for most of these years, but because I'm a fan of classic rock 'n' roll, most of my favourite albums are during this time.

1980 - AC/DC, Back In Black
1981 - Van Halen, Fair Warning
1982 - Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast
1983 -
1984 - Bruce Springsteen, Born In The USA
1985 -
1986 - Metallica, Master of Puppets
1987 - Guns N' Roses, Appetite For Destruction
1988 - Bon Jovi, New Jersey
1989 - Skid Row, Skid Row
1990 -
1991 - Guns N' Roses, Use Your Illusion I and II
1992 - Neil Young, Harvest Moon
1993 - Pearl Jam, Vs.
1994 - Green Day, Dookie
1995 - Bon Jovi, These Days
1996 - Metallica, Load
1997 -
1998 - U2, Best of 1980-1990
1999 -
2000 - Bon Jovi, Crush
2001 - The Strokes, Is This It
2002 - Red Hot Chili Peppers, By The Way
2003 - Metallica, St. Anger (so far; I'm buying the new Strokes album soon, so things might change)

Okay, so I like a lot of music from those years, but I don't actually have that many albums from then yet, or I have greatest hits.  Maybe later.

Yes, Number of the Beast was released in 1982.  Here's an excerpt from the album description from amazon.com.....

Digitally remastered reissue of their U.S. breakthrough album, first released on EMI in 1982....

For Me:

1993- GN'R AFD, I fell in love with GN'R. They were like gods to me back then.
1994- Green Day- Dookie. For a brief moment in late '94, Green Day were like the Beatles. Everyone had Green Day fevor. I went to a free show in Boston 10 years ago and there was a huge riot. ok
1995- Van Halen's Balance- I used to worship VH. I was glad that I caught the tail end of the Van Hagar glory era.
1996- Beatles- Sgt. Pepper- When I discovered the Beatles on my own.
1997- Sammy Hagar- Marching to Mars- I waited forever for this album. Best thing the Hamster has ever done.
1998- Van Halen 3- I don't care what anyone else says, I liked this album a lot. At least there are no songs with the word "love" in it.
1999- Garbage- Version 2.0- With this album  I really got into Garbage and alternative music. And that Shirley Manson... love
2000- Snakepit- ALG- Good old-school rock n roll record. My mom sent it to me when I was in college.
2001- Garbage- Beautiful Garbage- Great record.
2002- NIN- The Downward Spiral- Not a happy time in my life.
2003- The Doors- The Doors- I have always been a fan, but I worshiped them for like 6 months that year. Still a fan
2004- Rage Against the Machine- s/t- Just got into them. Listened to this album everyday for 6 months.

I know that. And Sgt. Pepper was not released in 1996. My list was not what my favorite album that was released in that year, although it could be the same. My list was, on any given year, what album meant the most to me.
