Don't know if it's an old rumor, but I heard Hoobastank was
opening for some future dates...maybe MSG?  Undecided

Or, better yet, maybe just Mix Master Mike and an early/longer Gn'R set!!! I was looking through some old
bootlegs online and saw the set they did the first time they
every played MSG (on the illusion tour). Axl made some kind of comment that they were going to have to pay $24,000
in "overtime" penalties...they still played what looks like
2 1/2+ hour set! Hopefully we'll get similar treatment on the 5th!  Grin

What normally happens on the floor at MSG...will you be able to move around, ie head towards the stage, or will stewards nail you to your seats??

I'm spending two days in NYC for the concert. I already have a room at the Pensylvania Hotel which is very close to the MSG, but I'd like to find some safe parking for the for two days. I will be coming from Hartford, and we would rather find a safe parking just outside NYC and simply take the subway. We never drived in NYC and we would rather not be stuck in the traffic.  [no]

Is there any big and safe parking that cost less than $35 per day?

The shows only a couple days away. If anyone wants to meet up before or after the show, we better decide on a place soon.

1pm might be a little early since Axl's usually late, and might not get on stage till 10 or 11.

I found this at The GNR Bar. Since no one has any firm plans, it sounds good to me:

Any Gunners going to MSG come hang out with us at Mustang Sally's from about 4pm to 7pm

The little MSG Gunners mailing list shaped up pretty good... A bunch of us are meeting at this pretty cool restaurant bar just a few blocks from the Garden.

The more the meaner... hehehe
Lets invade NYC GN'R Style!

feel free to circulate this invitation to other Guns forums / communities

i think it'd be pretty interesting/cool to get the bar, 2ti, htgth, gnrx, etc.. fans all in one place... i know there are a lot of us 'out here' who are going to be there.

Mustang Sally's

New York, NY

on 7th ave
between w 29th & w28th street

Sounds good, I intend being there...but maybe hanging around till after 8pm given axl's stage timing being after 10.  Hoping for a memorable night and see some of you fellow htgth gunners.

I know I don't post too many messeges here, but I'll be sure to keep my eyes out for some of yous  Shocked

One more day...can't wait to have Axl back in the Jungle where he belongs!  [ok]

Hey...just a heads up to anyone traveling tomorrow to the show. There's a snow storm that is going to hit us early morning and continue through the day (making the drive in
early evening not so pleseant). Here's what weather.com had to say...

SNOW SHOULD START NEAR THE NEW YORK CITY AREA AROUND MID MORNING...AFTER THE MORNING DRIVE PERIOD. THE SNOW SHIELD WILL THEN SPREAD NORTHEAST AND COVER THE ENTIRE REGION BY EARLY AFTERNOON. AT THIS TIME...IT APPEARS THAT THERE COULD BE A COUPLE OF INCHES OF SNOW ON THE GROUND BY THE EVENING RUSH. TEMPERATURES WILL STAY COLD THROUGH THE EVENT...AND THERE WILL LIKELY BE MANY SNOW COVERED ROADS BY THE EVENING COMMUTE.

Like I said, just a heads up to those traveling. Hopefully Axl IS, in fact, already in NY and this storm won't be a factor in his arrival time (he doesn't need anymore excuses to be even later)  [confused]
