Figures they'd put a Nirvana song in the top 25 but no GnR until well into the list  drool

Good to see some GN'R tunes in the list but Rolling Stone seems to have pretty poor taste compared to what I consider the greatest sonsg to be.

Rolling Stone doesn't know what they're doing on their charts.  I mean I like the mag. but they always have the worst charts, and then 6 months to a year later they come out with totally different opinions on the same chart.  I don't think they really know what they're doing there.

We all know how to take these lists. Who can honestly judge what the best top 500 songs are? Like a Rolling Stone is a great song, but the best song out of all rock songs? Come on. Satisfaction is a good song, but #2? It's all about taste. So these lists are just stupid.

Putting Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in such a high place says enough about the rest of the list.

CRAP!!!!!!

The first Guns song at such a low location is such bullshit. Rollin Stone magazine is really a stupid magazine. They even have teeny-bop snesations on its cover, how could they possible know what music is?

I think the list says more about the current state of RS than reflecting truly great tunes. Notice that in top 25, there are 20 or more of the songs released before 1970. RS is so out of date, it's a magazine for readers 45+ .

Well, at least Rolling Stone gave GnR some credit in the top 500 albums of all time, AFD came in at 61 out of 500

What a terrible list.  Smells Like Teen Spirit Number 9....Ridiculous.  That is one of the easiest guitar riffs ever written, it's easy to play, and the singing and lyrics aren't even that great.  Sweet Child O' Mine should be in the top 50 at least, while November Rain, Estranged, and Civil War should be in the top 500.  This was also the magazine (I believe) that did NOT have Slash in the top 100 guitarists of all time.  Go figure.

Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who .... I'm just addicted to that ! Of course I miss Led Zep, or Queen, or hendrix ... but it's just a list ... Mine changes from one day to another !? hihi

Why in the hell was November Rain excluded from the top ten?! It's one of the greatest songs ever written.

I've seen some lists in my time, but this might well be the biggest pile of monkey crap I've ever seen.  Why don't they get someone who isn't totally biased to make a list like that?  Or at least a panel.  The top 20 is full of Beatles/Dylan and then Nevermind is at 17...  It's not my opinion that this list is shit, it's 100% fact.

God save us if this is what one of the biggest music mags in the world thinks is the 500 best albums.

Nirvana #9? Puh-lease!! What kind of shitty list is that? Definitely not what I would chose, from what I've seen.
