The first time I even heard of Buck Cherry was the whole randy castillo tribute thing where VR started. I never heard any of their music until this afternoon at my friends house he played me a song on his computer called "lit up" and it fucking rocked. It had a cool early aerosmith hard rock vibe to it and I liked josh todd's vocals. I am wondering if it is worth checking out any of their other songs so if anyone has listened to em at all let me know if they're any good.

God, there's a blast from the past.

I'm not a huge fan, like, so I can't recommend anything, I always thought they were very hit or miss.

Josh Todd did a solo record not long ago that was very good.

The "Lit Up" riff is a huge ripoff of "Shock Me" by Kiss (with Ace Frehley on vocals)... It's still a good song though.

Timebomb is my most favourite album of all time. Either that or AFD, it changes from day to day.

Everyone says their selftitled album is the best but I think Timebomb is a masterpiece. A lot of the songs from TB are far better than Lit Up. Especially Pornostar. That album has awesome riffs and the vocals are really catchy without being forced. The guitar player wrote the riff to Dirty Little Thing too. That guy is awesome.

I agree with Chris. They're pretty much 'hit or miss'. But overall, on a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give 'em a 5. They are, or perhaps more accurately were, a solid, competent hard rock band. And like you, I like Josh's vocals................... ok

They're decent.  I saw them years ago live and they were pretty good.  I didn't like their albums however, seemed mediocre.  nothing very original there but it still kinda rocks.

I used to listen to them quite a lot. I only have Timebomb. Based on that evidence, I give them 7 out of ten, maybe an 8. Very good band. I wanted Todd in VR.

I picked up the self titled cd today. A little disappointed outside of lit up. The rest seems kind of bland. I'll give it a few more listens tho.
