Dave Grohl is an amazing drummer, probably one of the greatest ever

but i just love Tommy Lee, in my opinion Tommy is the greatest rock drummer ever in the last 20 years and in the top 10 ever

i listen to motley crue to hear Tommy drum

im not a big drum fan but when i watch Motley crue live its the only band that i want to watch the drummer instead of the frontman or guitarist

im not an expert on drumming however so technically speaking i really dont know

but who do u all think is better? grohl or lee?

Like you techinally i don't have a clue, but i prefer Tommy Lee and just like you when i watch M?tley Cr?e it's for him & Nikki Sixx (an underated class act),  i think Dave Grohl is a damn good drummer, but Lee is just that bit better.

I prefer Tommy Lee. I am kinda sick of Dave Grohl. He is good but he tends to get overrated.

i think it's a fair argument to say that tommy lee is the greatest drummer of all time.

he's creative, technical, fast. he has it all.

many others do as well, but there's one thing that tommy lee has over everybody.....showmanship.

he's fun to watch. he puts on a show. 

can't wait to see him march 4 in philly (my 30th b-day!)

John Bonham, Neil Peart,  Nick Mason, Mickey Hart  <<< I'd say technically the best


but if I had to pick a drummer of these 2.... uhhh hmmmmmmm.  that's tuff

I grown up watching Tommy Lee but he is like straight up  rock you know? but he has kool personality to make you want to jam.  I seen grohl.....  but I know less about him technically.    so I'm going to pick Tommy Lee as long as he doesnt bitch too much when we jam  Grin

Dave Ghroll is good drummer but he's not even top 10. It's Tommy Lee by a light year.

Tommy should be compared with people who actually stand a chance against him, like Mike Portnoy, Josh Freese, and Neil Pert for example.

This is like somebody asking who is the better vocalist Axl Rose or Scott Stapp?
