I'm talkin bout the Epi G-1275 not the Gibson EDS-1275 anyway I was wonderin' if anyone here has ever played one I'm thinkin of buying one just because they're cool and cheap, so I'm not too concerned about how good it is compared to the Gibson. Just wonderin' what others think of it ok

 The Epiphone G-1275?

 The Gibson EDS-1275

I think that is just plain silly IMHO

then again some people had the same opinion of Slash's Hair in the late 80's

I own one.  couldn't find a EDS-1275, but after reading numerous reviews and them all being good, I ordered one from guitar center (hell). I got it within three days and what a beauty it was. The only difference was the pups and the headstock of course. The neck pups on the 6 six string was busted. Whichwas either ups or guitar center. Anyways, it was covered under warranty so I took it to my luthier. He has been building and repairing guitars for years. Hes renowned for his work and was completely impressed by the guitar himself, and the new pup had him doing a double take. Anyways, the guitar is exceptional for the price, Gibson should charge over 1,000.00 for it but they don't. I will never let it go, even if I get my hands on an EDS. Some people who have played both said the Epi was a better buy. Check harmony Central.

By the way. Epiphone has great quality control. I had a LP startdard in Translucent amber and the guitar itself was incredible to play and sounded like a gibby. I bought a Gibson LP Classic and could not tell the difference. I actually would have liked the Epi pups inmy Gibson, but sold the Epi to pay off the Gibson and even replaced the Gibson pups with Seymour Duncan Alnico II's. It sounds better. Honestly, The gibson and Epi felt the same. Just better wood and parts...

Yeah, thanks. I think the Epi looks nicer. If I get it I'm gonna leave the Gibson HBs on the twelve string and replace the Epi HBs on the six string with Seymour Duncans? ok
