This is one of the coolest "death metal" albums I've heard in a while. It has the death aesthetics, but I would more likely call it "death n' roll". It's really catchy and pop-like without losing any of the essential heaviness. The guitar solos are often much like Metallica's Self-Titled era (except, of course, the rest of the songs are much better!). The vocals are harsh, of course, but they aren't the infamous death grunt most people would expect. The vocals are kind of like Venom, except shouted louder.
I highly recommend this one. Don't think of it as tr00 death metal. It's just a whole lot of fun!
