Actually, that how well you do in a world cup should propel you to the top is one of the major problems when it comes to world ranking!

As far as the joke that is fifa world ranking goes, that top five is pretty damn accurate in terms of quality, save from France.

How the fuck is Brasil still number 1 ?? I thought the winner of a world cup would automatically get #1 spot. I also don't agree with Argentina at #3 . And the rankings are stupid, but the fact is that brazil have a better record than italy. It doesnt make sense to proclaim the winners of the world cup as the best country on earth as the two are not the same.

... I don't quite remember why I didn't........ Either way, it would also mean that Porto were the best club team in Europe two seasons ago. In the words of the great Mr. Mourinho, the best teams do not win tournaments.

No. That would mean that Brazil would be top until Italy can win the world cup again, or any other nation can win it at least twice more, regardless of how shitty they get.
