What do u think would happen? Would the athiest child maybe find GOD anyway?

let the kid find shit out for him/her self... if one wants to be a vegetarian, you support you kid all the way... goes for everytihng (well, as long as it is reasonable)

I don't know that I actually consider myself an atheist.? I don't believe in the christian concept of god or satan, I don't accept the bible as my instructional guide to life, but I don't really consider myself an atheist (which is the complete lack of belief in any deity) -- I consider myself a self-worshipping heathen.? I don't raise my children to be anything except to be responsible adults, responsible for their own actions, and not reliant upon some god to give them the answers, nor do I enable them with a scapegoat upon which to blame the evils in life, nor do I plant in their minds imagry of an afterlife.? I offer them only this life, and teach them to live it.? ?They will choose their own path of belief from the tools I offer them.? It would be incredibly hypocritical and irresponsible to raise my children any other way.

I was a vegetarian up until my last pregnancy, when I was then ordered by my doctor to resume a diet that included meat (as my pregnancy had a great deal of complications which included low protein, sodium and iron levels... all of which would be resolved with the inclusion of meat in my diet).? ? And yes... while I was a vegetarian, I raised my daughter as a vegetarian, although she was welcome to consume meat when I would take her out to eat, if she wanted, and she was welcome to consume meat while visiting other people's homes that served meat.? I allowed her to make the choice, when the choice was offered, however, while I was cooking, I would cook no meat.

I think that just as it's possible for a child of christian parents to discover another path that suits them well, it's equally as possible for the child of atheist parents to discover their own path and make thier own decisions.? However, too often (and this is one thing that I? detest about most religions), it is force fed to children and they aren't actually making their own decisions, they're being brainwashed into believing something -- without the benefit of choice.

I think that if a child is raised from it's infancy as a vegetarian... it would be difficult to introduce meats when the child is older... not necessarily because of the taste, but quite possibly because of the different texture... and the fact that meat is one of the most difficult foods to digest... so it might prove to be an unpleasant digestive experience.?

I would raise them to think by themselves and choose the best option for him/her, the bad thing about many things specially in religion, is that here we as a kid are baptize (spell ->?) pretty young without being aware what religion is, or anything at all, thats kinda crapy.

I think the kid would rebel, and go the opposite.  It's a natural thing to do.  People find their own ways in life anyway.  I think the things you are taught are a basis, but when you become an adult you take that and discover for yourself what is right for you.  The important thing is to try to raise a kid to be a decent, respecting, responsible person.  Not an easy task.

I was raised by a catholic mum and a jewish dad to be an atheist to make life more simple for everyone.

I found some form of God, to both my parent's sadness.

Most things i was raised with i turned against anyway, simply because my dad was in a perpetual revolt ( as much as i loved him) and my mother is a whore and a drunk and i am ashamed of her and ashamed to be her daughter so i guess thar in terms of psychology, i am in my own revolt to never be like her which won't happen because of a DNA card that will make me like her wether i like it or not ?
