come on axl is going to scrap his great solo work because of leaks.. he seems to like to play this album from time to time in somewhat public places so he knows the risks, he can sit in his home and watch this whole operation happen and see what fans think..
this is not axl's solo work. Its Guns N' Roses, I believe the band members contribute greatly to these recordings. |

At this point, for all we know the leaks were intentional but Axl or the label. And even if they weren't, a few leaks is not going to stop the release of the cd. You have to remember that the number of people who download leaked songs is a very small percentage of the record buying public, I mean I don't really know too many people outside of hardcore gnr fans who have even heard The Blues or Chinese Democracy. We make a big deal about leaks happening on the forms because sometimes we forget that everyone on here is the most hardcore of hardcore gnr fans, the general public doesn't even really know that gnr is hopefully going to be releasing a cd in the next while.

Most high-profile bands these days have their albums leaked before they hit the stores. Whether its leaked one week before or one week after it will be on the internet for ppl to download. The GNR camp know this. Theres money to be made so it will be released no matter how pissed Axl or anyone else is.

You know.. if the whole or most of the album is leaked we may never see it released. I have this feeling that if we have most of the album in our hands by the time Axl releases it he's just going to scrap it and start working on a new album or take other songs and replace them.? It could be another 10 years until we see an offical release.  Even though these leaks are the best thing to happen to Gn'R fans in years, it could turn out to be the worst also... What?! Are you kidding me?! I just said the same thing to a friend! Exactly the same thing! Imagine if he gets mad and just decides to work on a whole new album... lol... I was joking though. But anyway, what's up with all these leaks?! My friend just sent me Prostitute and This I Love. From what I read, the album will have 14 tracks, and I've already listened to 6 of these. (some in a demo version) And if the album is gonna be delayed for another year, then it's about time to leak the whole thing. |

removing GNR forum spreading would slow it down at least 10 times.

there are rumors that another wave of leaks is on the way.
I think many people agree that we should not let that happen.
one way is shutting down the forums, 2nd is locking all the forums(allowing only admins to modify threads), and 3rd is damage control
best way of damage control is the nazi model.
and I wasnt talking about the unrealeased songs, but the unleaked songs.
the damage has already been done with the already leaked songs, so there's no point stoping talking about them.

The last time a Gn'R forum was shut down (gnronline) 5 or 6 forums shot up within the next couple weeks... If HTGTH and the others were shut down, new ones would be popping up just as quick.
You can't stop Gn'R fans, we're insane..or dedicated.. it's a fine line.
