Yeah, just as the topic suggests.  I came up with an idea of a supergroup and I was wondering who I would want to join.  However, there's a twist.  I thought that it would be interesting to see if we could all compile supergroups made up of our favourite deceased musicians.  It does sound kinda morbid, but think of the great music that could've been, had these legends survived.  I can't imagine this becoming very popular, but I think it'd be interesting to get a few different opinions.  I'll start.

Here's my idea of the ideal blues-based rock band with all deceased members:
Vocals: Janis Joplin
Lead guitar: Stevie Ray Vaughan
Rhythm guitar and songwriting: John Lennon
Bass: John Entwistle
Drums: John Bonham
Piano/Keyboards: Ray Charles

I do sincerely hope that some of you are joking about not knowing Joplin has been dead for 36 years. Ray has been dead for 2 years so little grace will be extended but not much.  Perhaps you should pick up a newspaper from time to time, watch CNN or get off the damn computer and come back to the real world.

I wasn't joking that I didn't know Joplin had died. I have a few tunes on my computer that I listenned to but never bought any albums or followed up on any bio's or anything. And can you explain how reading a newspaper or watching CNN, which tend to deal with current affairs, would have enlightened me to her death?

I thought I'd come up with a new band, something rockier, glammier, sleazier, and metaller, for us head bangers...
Let's see...

Vocals: Bon Scott
Lead Guitar: Randy Rhoads
Rhythm Guitar: Criss Oliva (maybe he and Randy could do some duelling solos!)
Bass: Cliff Burton
Drums: Randy Castillo
