Late THE CLASH rocker JOE STRUMMER contributed guitar for JANKY HOLOCAUST, a track recorded for the long-awaited GUNS N' ROSES album CHINESE DEMOCRACY, two weeks before his death. Frontman AXL ROSE has since ditched the tune from the finished album.

He died on December 22, 2002.

2 weeks before (an estimate) would be roughly December 8, 2002.

Didn't Dizzy say that the last time the band was together was at MSG on December 5, 2002?

If this is true, then Axl recorded Joe Strummer's part right after the tour ended.

The way this album is being recorded, Strummer could have been in London recording, while Axl was in his hotel watching a Lakers game, telling him to play with more "soul!"  beer
