IT'S OFFICIAL (well if I can get a ticket Friday  peace).......The Billster is coming to NEW YORK CITY to see the Gunners.  Sure last time in Philly didn't work out so well, but I'm putting all my faith in mr. Axl.  I am unfamiliar to NYC so I plan on just showing up for the first show since I have to be back in PA the next day.  Probably end up staying in NYC the night of the 15th so if there are any afterpartys and such, I shall be there to drink it up.  To the few of you I met in Philly, it was a great time (hell I don't know if they're even still on this board, it's been a while since I've really followed it), but I look forward to meeting you all.  Shit this is gonna rock.

I know many of you probably don't know the city that well but getting to hammerstein is very easy by train, I see some big ass hotel prices for manhattan.. I would get a room in brooklyn or queens map everything out, pay about 100 dollars a night and take the train into manhattan and back to the hotel/motel... You could even take a cab back and pay less then you would for one nyc hotel... Plus if you parked in brooklyn or queens it would be free so you'd save another 25 bucks or more..

I know it's about convienence, but I am sure some of you are strapped for cash.. if you are flying in both airports are in Queens anyways

I'm looking to get those tickets and be there as well. Living in nYc makes getting there pretty easy. Those parties sound really good too. Keep the ideas flowing  ok

newark is the way to go. smart move.

i believe you can take a free monorail from the airport to Newark Airport train station.

then you have 2 options depending on where you are staying:

1. MIDTOWN: take NJ Transit to Penn Station (NY) for $14. this is midtown, about 2 blocks from the Hammerstein.

2. Lower Manhattan: take NJ Transit one stop to Newark Penn Station for about $6, and then jump on the PATH train ($2), which will take you to the WTC site in Lower Manhattan (financial district).

I don't think I'd be nearly excited as if my extended family wasn't going to be there... To think I will meet at least 100 gnr fans where I can talk and not type while having beers and waiting to see axl live again.. I'd pick up ten tickets if I could to help hook you guys up..
I can't wait for the pre party.. beer Good luck on your travels to the city

you live in NYC right jaz?

So if you were flying into see this, and didn't know anything about NYC or Manhattan, you'd fly into Newark and take the train into Manhattan?

yeah and if anyone is massively strapped for cash and you're staying in Brooklyn you could walk to Manhatten and it'll only take ya a couple hours. I know I've done it. LOL.  On second thought just take the train. hihi

sorry man, if I had one clue of who you were I would... If you were an established poster and someone who was always talking gnr and got shut out I would make sure you had it.. Reality is I don't know you so you can be someone who shouldn't have the password.. Not saying you don't deserve to go, but this is the net and people lie. good luck
