This thread is stupid... it's just a list of a bunch of people's favourite songs.  Izzy tried to make a comment on something and basically got told to keep his opinion to himself.

You guys want a masterpiece...........this is a song by Steppenwolf called "Monster" that I almost can guarantee had some sort of influence on GNR.  It clocks in around 10 minutes long.  Very GNR-like.

Guns N Roses "Estranged" "Coma"

Prince "Little Red Corvette" "Do Me Baby" "Adore" "1999" "When Doves Cry,Purple Rain,Sign O The Times, 7,Most Beautiful Girl In The World,The Holy River,Million Days,Erotic City,Lets Go Crazy,The Continental,

Red Hot Chili Peppers "Under The Bridge,My Friends,Soul to Squeeze,Otherside,Californication,Dosed,Dont Forget Me,Tear,Venice Queen,Wet Sand,Hard To Concentrate,Slow Cheetah,Stadium Arcadium,Tell Me Baby

As much as I like you D, and Bon Jovi ...

1 album like Stadium Arcadium can't have that many masterpieces. The RHCP alone don't have that many. You guys are really blowing SA out of proportion.

Agreed. SA really wasn't too much special and I don't understand the huge hype. Your opinion though.

I'd have trouble naming any masterpiece songs.. classical music is really the "masterpiece" genre... (technically)

But, I've always thought Locomotive captured the emotion Axl was trying to convey so well..

What some people on this board need to understand is that theres a difference between a masterpiece and just a song you like.

Agalloch - In The Shadow Of Our Pale Companion.

A TRUE masterpiece of a song. They're an awesome folk metal band, and that song is 15 minutes of the most melancholy and bleak music you'll ever hear. It's EPIC, it can make you feel empty inside or warm and fuzzy depending how you approach it. The song amazes me everytime I hear it, it's just a song that reminds you how great music can be and it's a shame that most other bands can't produce ART like this.
