Slash alone is not GNR. Duff and Izzy either. I think Axl is.

Dont get me wrong, I love and respect the original line-up, but since I have to choose, I'll go with Axl... He has my full support.

after hearing Axl on the Trunk show, and barely scratching the surface of what other problems were in the band, and everything else he said just being cool ... Axl is the spirit of GNR, and members in the band deserve every right to be called Guns n' Roses

Axl, Tracii Guns, Izzy and Ole Becih started GNR, and when Ole and Tracii didnt show up at the first show Axl invited Duff and Slash to join, therefore he built more of GNR and musically he is better

Guns N Roses was never AGREED upon to be disbanded...the root of the members leaving rested in Axl and Duff/Slash disagreeing about musical direction, Axl stood his ground, so did those guys... but they LEFT.. the three never said "Guns N Roses" is no more.... what would you have preferred, the name to die in musical complacency/laziness, or would you prefer the result that happened, Axl taking his time, trying out new members, and eventually putting out an album that will live up to the old name..... I'd rather see the name try to live on, then just die because some people didnt want to try new things... if an appetite rehash happened gnr would be looked upon as an 80's hair band or some shitball act like poison...

I think he could have done like alot of artists and toured under the name Axl Rose.. Many artists have done it and been just fine.. Ozzy..

axl will always be associated and compared to guns n roses  . it would be impossible for him to have a different band name or solo thing without getting unfair comparisons.plus when singers change bands or go solo,they usually want to do something way different musically.i think axl is pretty much the same,same voice,same lyrical style and he actually is guns n roses..he knows what hes doing and he knows whats good for the namesake of guns n roses   thats why there is no more buckethead..i was htere may 12 and i didnt miss the big top hat or  or duff or steve...its been along time ago since they were together so im pretty much accustomed to the new millineum guns     just enjoy the show
