Oasis and The Darkness are far too big to open for the current gn'r.
And the darkness would definetly upstage gn'r onstage. definetly.

Are you joking? I like the darkness and all but all they have is one single to speak of. Look at Metallica they got godsmask, a mid club filling band with many singles opening for them? You think the Darkness is too big to open? You got to be kidding

My top choice would be Audioslave but they are to big now to want to open for someone. Silvertide is a awesome band I saw them open for Van Halen and they kicked ass can't wait for their album that comes out later this month. Jet would be good. How about The Black Crowes reunite and open . Or how about CKY j/k. GNR for fucking ever.

Velvet Revolver
But seriously, there aren't that many fitting, current bands I can think of that would do it. Maybe Megadeth, afterall they do have a new album coming out themselves.

Oasis sold over 40 million albums worldwide. In UK, they even outsell the Beattles. American people can't understand how big Oasis is in Europe. Oasis totally dominated and ruled Europe in the mid and late 90's. Totally. They are wayyyyyyy too big to "open" for GN'R even if it would be my dream because they are my 2 favourite bands.

Please no weezer!
And it depends where you are with the darkness. one single?! try 4 and a xmas single from what i can tell! 3 of which blew up huge in the UK. They're certainly too big to support - they have an arena tour thats selling out fast this xmas - 3 dates for wembley already! I'd like a co-headline :-) Godsmack doesn't rly fit I dont think, but i dont know much of their stuff to be fair.
Bob :-)

weezer would be a good choice...But I would love to see the darkness or jet opening for 'em...or even kings of leon (wich is a great band!)...
Maybe skid row with the new formation!! I know that skid row whitout sebastian is not the same, but still is a great band!
But Axl woud, problably, pick some new band, just to put them on the media...open some doors for any band wich is begening some job...

Try 5 singles and you'd be right. They also have mutt lange producing their new album which will be supported by a complete sell out stadium tour. I'd like to see you name three bands on earth that can sell out Wembley Stadium three times right now. Are you joking? I like the darkness and all but all they have is one single to speak of. Look at Metallica they got godsmask, a mid club filling band with many singles opening for them? You think the Darkness is too big to open? You got to be kidding
