here are some photos that a girl i know took. they're a bit messy but she was front row and kept hiding from bodyguards who were constantly trying to take away her camera. finally she was hurled away from  the main stage but she came back and sat a little bit to the left and enjoyed the whole show. too bad about the camera incident, though, i don't think they should've treated her like that. i mean she wasn't trying to shoot them or anything just taking some photos..

Your links don't work (HTTP response 403: forbidden). Plus I can hardly understand why security would take away her camera (if it wasn't a professional one, that is) - i was in 1st row too, with Gio right in front of me. Taking pics wasn't a problem?

well, if taking pictures wasn't a problem, then what happend in St Louis? or why does security always search for cameras at Guns N' Roses' shows, allowing only cell phones...i mean really now, everybody knows that taking pictures at shows is not something  that Axl likes... and regarding the links...ahm...fuck it, the pictures are there, i just don't know why they can't be accessed...anyway...maybe i'll put them on photobucket or something..

a) St. Louis was way back in 92. Back then, nobody had cell phones, especially no cell phones with cameras. Nowadays, everybody has them, and you can't tell people they have to leave their phones at home. There are some cell "phones" which take pretty decent pictures, and therefore (well that's my guess), the promoters have started to allow "crappy" cameras.

b) Professional cameras still are forbidden (usually > 8 megapixel, or if they look bulky enough). You can only take small ones (ie: You won't be able to sell pictures taken with them).

c) I can only tell you what promoters told me and what I've seen at concerts. If you have different experience, well that's possible.
