A meet up would be great, but, er, can 16yr olds get into pubs these days...Huh

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for hostels, or just good areas to stay at? Or even an online map of Nottingham so I can figure out where I need to be?

Heh, well it's not my age that's a problem. It's my sister. I'd much rather a pub, I can just make her sit outside or something... hihi
Actually, I thought the drinking age here was 18, but at last nights concert all the signs said you needed to be 21? Huh

i think most places would be cool with the age thing, but there's no way to be sure. depending how old your sister looks aswell could be an issue.

and yeah over here now there's this stupid you will get asked for ID if you look under 21 thing so those signs are everywhere.

It's not that far from Birmingham to Nottingham.   You could get a train from Birmingham International station (this is the one that serves the NEC) to Birmingham New Street station (takes about 15 minutes).  Then catch a train from Birmingham New Street station to Nottingham - this takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.  For more info go to:

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/index.html

Hope this helps.

maybe since it's a thursday, but they have a habit of coming round tables asking for ID. no harm in trying, there's a few pubs closer to the venue but they will be rammed.

well i'll go anywhere, i'm meeting a couple of people from vr forum aswell though, and i think one of them is brining their kid who's either 11 or 12, which is why i suggested HRC, i can get 10% discount there aswell so running up a tab and breaking down whats owed later could be pretty good for everyone.

Haha. Really, don't mind about us. I don't even know if we;ll be able to make it to a fan meet up, so organise what you want where you want and we'll see.

I'm excited either way.

Pit is fine for under 18's, they never have people on the door on thrusdays so you can just go sit in the back somewhere.

It's closer to the ice stadium than Tap as well...
