The New Single for RHCP will be "Dani California." The new video has premeried on different music stations and it is available for download on Itunes.

Yeah, I know, it's pretty expensive, but cheaper than 90-100 dollars here, more like 70-75.

Have you guys heard Dani California yet?  I just downloaded it a few days ago and I've been listening to it a lot... I like the way it breaks into the solo at the end.

yeah I love it, solo is great but the vocal melodyline of the song is the thing that sticks out for me. Kiedis did a great job.

the box set thing costs 619 Norwegian Kroner here, that's exacly $95,50...it's not released of course, but it's up for pre-order on a site.
I just heard from a friend that they won't release it till August though, know anything about that?
sucks if they do that, that'll be like what VR did with all the re-releases.

In August? Never heard of that, on the site ginza.se where I will order it they have the release date 2006-05-05.

If they did release it in August, that would suck, big time.

at best buy the limited edition is only 54.99

Dont know where u guys got the 100 bucks.

I am definitely buying the limited edition,I am saving up for it as we speak.

dont know the exact order but its something like:
Elvis, Nirvana, David Bowie, Poison?, The Misfits, The Beatles, Parliament, Buddy Holly, Jimmy Hendrix, Sex Pistols, Boy George and i think Green Day.

i like the single alot but it just seems like they have no where to go musically anymore, it seems slightly rehashed. I guess thats asking too much since they've been together so long.  I still love it though.

Green Day and Boy George? no way dude, haha. and I don't think it's Poison specifically, it's just supposed to be any hair metal band.
in addition to the other ones you mentioned, Im spotting Cream and T-Rex

and D, I got $95 from a website here, it's the listing price here in Norway. hope it's only something temporary they have put up though cos the price you mentioned sounds reasonable and I'll definately get it at that price.

You can't say that cause the lead single sounds like their other songs (in your opinion) that the other songs on the new CD will sound like their lead single, moron. Especially when you haven't even heard the new cd.

I saw the video for Dani Claifornia earlier. I don't think too much of the song (though it isn't a bad song), but that was only the second or third time that I have heard it. But I agree with DC-and a whole bunch of letters and numbers. It was just...Chilli Peppers. No risks, at least not with that song. Sure fire middle of the road rock, pretty much. But maybe it will grow on me. Maybe some part of it will stand out at some point. The video was awful though. I don't know if it is supposed to be funny, but it isn't. And it sure as hell ain't innovative. Who says that every video has to be innovative, eh? Not me. But that video is rubbish.

yeah I agree, DC isn't very inventive, but that's usually the case with any first single from any big bands. it does have a very catchy chorus though, also something common with most big bands first singles.
it's a song that could have been on Californication, from the sound and style. but it's nothing like the By The Way album, except from the song By the Way....which was also the first single.
so I don't exacly agree everything with RHCP sounds the same, every album they have released have sounded very different from each other IMO.
