Tommy was just jealous that Axl is a MUCH bigger star and the club owner's were willing to push Hillfiger down the line to accomodate Axl and his entourage.  I know Axl has been known to go off on previous occasions but I find it hard to fault him at all in this instance.  He was the nights main attraction, invited by the party's host.  Mr. Hillfiger was WAY out of line for his actions.

Axl is far from invincible but how often to you go to nightclubs where a band is gonna play and try to start a fight with the lead singer?  Not the smartest move.  I don't doubt that Axl came into the place and "invaded Tommy's space".  It was a small club, he needed a place to situate.  I'm sorry but he's f'ing Axl Rose, move on down the line Tommy.  Go make me a shirt while you're at it.
