Hello everyone,
My name is Lola and I'm new here I just wanted to know if anyone else felt the same as me, coz I was a little bit disapointed with the gig Undecided?
I have been a fan since '88 and absolutely love their music, some of Axls lyrics have helped me through some real long nights and in my humble opinion Appitite is one of the best albums to shag to. But I really thought Axls voice wasn't as strong as it used to be nor could he hold the crowd like he used to and that the guitar was pretty shite. I felt it was all very sanitised and formulaic. To me it felt a bit like they were just getting the songs out, but with very little emotion involved. I mean Axl lost the crowd twice and the solos were quite simply boring. Like someone on the VR forum said, it was like Axls solo project that played a lot of GnR stuff. The last two gigs VR played here had much more of the old GnR about them, those gigs were much dirtier, sexier and louder. I went with my husband and two friends and we are all in agreement that the guitar players could have been a lot sharper, and most of the time we couldn't even hear the bass.
I know it probably doesn't sound it from above but we enjoyed it all the same, we sang, danced and screamed the night away, well until 10.30 anyway!? But despite the fact it was mainly old stuff they played, I just cant see them as GunsNRoses and I am really sorry for that. Sad ?coz I loved that bloody band so much.

hello guys. i flew from greece to dublin for the show, it was my second time seeing gnr, the previous one was in athens greece, may 1993(one of the few shows with izzy on that tour).

The RDS show was amazing, incredible, totally awesome. Axl's voice was in the best shape i ever heard him and he seemed more happy and relaxed than ever before. The new band ROCKS!! the crowd went completely nuts all through the gig and the response to the new songs was very good (where i was, many people were singing along). I was glad to see many young gnr fans and after seeing this amazing show i am convinced that GNR is back for good. I really hoped izzy would have played in the RDS too, but oh well...i got lucky in 93, you cant always get what you want. ii will travel again to see them when the album is out.

having seen VR last year here in greece, i honestly think New GNR kicks vr's ass in a very brutal way. i was very disappointed with Vr's album and show.

i loved dizzy's solo before the blues and the guitar cover of aguilera's beautiful. i love the new band.

Highlights of the show for me were : welcome to the jungle, madagascar, november rain, the blues, patience, better, outta get me, my michelle, you could be mine, sweet child o' mine, nightrain and paradise city.

Axl rose rules the entire universe.cant wait to see GNR again!

After seeing them play at the Hammersmith Apollo, I thought Dublin wouldn't even be close to that amazing gig. Turns out it wasn't.... But not because it wasn't any good. It's because Dublin was so different that there's no need to compare.

Both shows were amazing but for different reasons. Hammersmith is a small, dark indoor venue while the RDS show was in sunlight in a big open space. It was like two different bands.

This band can play any kind of show and pull it off (which they proved even further at Download).

OK I would've posted earlier about this but I was off on holidays the morning after the gig put I'm back now!

Anyways this show was fucking amazing I was right up to the front and only a couple of feet away from the stage. I was expecting something special at this show but it completely exceded my expectations, the best day of my life by a long shot. The highlights of the show for me were Madagascar and Welcome To The Jungle, but I was a bit worried that I was the only one, around where I was anyways, that knew the words to the new songs. That was a bit fucked.

And sorry I couldn't go to the meet ups but i was with about 5 or 6 other guys so I didn't wanna drag them along too like.

Whoever thinks this thread is about whether or not Northern Ireland is part of Ireland or not better stop posting now or I'll have to take care of it.

"What we've got here is failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach...
So, you get what we had here last week,
which is the way he wants it!
Well, he gets it!
N' I don't like it any more than you men."

Look at your young men fighting
Look at your women crying
Look at your young men dying
The way they've always done before

Look at the hate we're breeding
Look at the fear we're feeding
Look at the lives we're leading
The way we've always done before

My hands are tied
The billions shift from side to side
And the wars go on with brainwashed pride
For the love of God and our human rights
And all these things are swept aside
By bloody hands time can't deny
And are washed away by your genocide
And history hides the lies of our civil wars

D'you wear a black armband
When they shot the man
Who said "Peace could last forever"
And in my first memories
They shot Kennedy
I went numb when I learned to see
So I never fell for Vietnam
We got the wall of D.C. to remind us all
That you can't trust freedom
When it's not in your hands
When everybody's fightin'
For their promised land

And
I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
I don't need your civil war

Look at the shoes your filling
Look at the blood we're spilling
Look at the world we're killing
The way we've always done before
Look in the doubt we've wallowed
Look at the leaders we've followed
Look at the lies we've swallowed
And I don't want to hear no more

My hands are tied
For all I've seen has changed my mind
But still the wars go on as the years go by
With no love of God or human rights
'Cause all these dreams are swept aside
By bloody hands of the hypnotized
Who carry the cross of homicide
And history bears the scars of our civil wars

"We practice selective annihilation of mayors
And government officials
For example to create a vacuum
Then we fill that vacuum
As popular war advances
Peace is closer"

I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
And I don't need your civil war
I don't need your civil war
I don't need your civil war
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
I don't need your civil war
I don't need one more war

I don't need one more war
Whaz so civil 'bout war anyway
