What was this show like?  There must of been a ton of rumors going around.  Was the hype huge?  How long in advance did they announce the show? etc .... I wasn't following GNR back then the way I am now.  I was thinking the other day what show would have been better to see, the 01/01/01 show, or the first hammerstein show

I wasnt active in the community at the time, but Im thinking it would have been amazing.

GNR had become almost a myth - there were so many rumours about what Axl was doing and what he looked like. Then they blasted out a great concert (audio is available) with 4 unheard songs.

A lot of the reviewers were creeped out by the Buckethead and Finck image, but all the ones Ive read praised the bands abilities.

yeah.. and i like that song.. it's really cool i think.. and someone who said that they met dizzy somewhere said that dizzy said they had done another recording on that song or something don't remebmer it fully but i wanna hear that song live and if there is a new studio version
