The November Rain video si a masterpiece for me, especially Slash' solo outside the church, that has to be one of the greatest moments in a music video.

But the Estranged video takes it too far, good song but the video is a totally over the top. Axl jumping off a aircraft carrier and then swimming with dolphins! It's far too bloated.

Oh My God, that is terrible  I bet I could get better acting out of a pet rock and a cat turd 

To be fair to it, only about 30% of it is bad, but its so overpoweringly awful it makes the rest stink.

Now, guilty 80s pleasure that is Karate Kid II, I won't hate on that movie.  However..

What the bloody f*ck is Cetera doing in this video!?!  No, not why he appears... what is he actually doing?  Dear friends, I speak simply of his hands.  Watch them (as if any mere mortal would be strong enough to look away).  The strange movements he makes with them.  This is clearly the work of a master frontman.  Sure, his sweater may be 2 sizes too big (not to mention that a sweater really isn't dojo attire) and he doesn't seem to need to blink much (again, hinting at his superhuman-ness), but the focus of this video isn't Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita or even the mildly attractive Asian actress.  It's Cetera's hands.  My feeling is that if this video had consisted solely of his hands moving in their hypnotic, graceful fashion - perhaps even allowing for a few fleeting shadowpuppet shots - not only would the song still have been a hit, but it would have been in heavy MTV rotation to this day.  Alas, movie tie-ins being what they are, GnR get stuck with a video cameoing Arnuhld and Salute Your Shorts' Budnick (aka actor Danny Cooksey, of Diff'rent Stokes fame), and Cetera has the Karate Kid Kast.  To think what might have been...

Funny thing is everyone liked "Estranged" until MTV decided it was cool to bash it after the "fall" of GN'R. But c'mon, whether you can appreciate its over-indulgent nature, to call it one of the worst music videos of all time is a bit of a stretch. I think it's one of the coolest. As for the Crue, their early videos were their best by far. They worked way better as a faux-Satanic glam metal band than they did later as a wannabe biker band. I mean I like the Crue past and present, but their first two albums remain their best and the image from that time is still definitive Motley for me.

Even though I LOVE the song, I hate the music video for ''Love In An Elevator'' from Aerosmith. Its simply disgusting.
