It depends on who he is working with. Most of his solo work is simply instrumental. However his "Enter the Chicken" only had a few instrumental including the brilliant "Nottingham Lace"

He will usually have some audio samples or a guest singer on a song or 2 but most of his solo CD's are instrumental.
