Sad? I see sad. I see a superhero with a cape no longer able to fly. I see a man whose time has passed yet no one is willing to let him know.

The truth is, Elvis was the first 'Rock Star' and 'Teen Heartthrob' and went where no one went before.. No one knew it was going to be a short ride, there was no one else who had been thru it.. The shock of 5 years years going by & no longer being 'in' was never anticipated and another act (Beatles, Stones) would encapture the younger generation.. A few bands last (Stones, Aerosmith, U2) but most come & go.. and they all have their ups & down along the way.

i mean... hes wearing the big flashy white suit with studs on the back,  and they look like they're playing in an ally-   if he wanted the stage looking like a dumpster then he should have dressed the same too

You, sir, are an idiot.  ok

For me, the saddest part during the performance was when he turned to the crowd and smiled.

I know what you mean, it's kindof in a "Look ma" approval seeking look. Cool find, thanks for posting. I certainly think it's more sad in a 'depressing yo see what became of him' kind of way. There's really nothing tearjerking about the performance of the song, it's pretty bad. Other than it shows how far Elvis had fallen from grace.
