when i tape a show( it's been awhile since i have), i'm doing it for my own private collection. it's like a souvenir for me. i have no problem sharing anything i get, and if i don't want to share i don't tell anyone i've got it.

i've paid for bootlegs before, and have no problem doing so. I know how much of a pain in the ass it is to capture a show. I've been caught a few times. i've been escorted out of a couple of venues, while others were cool, and just made me put the cam away.

i do hope to capture a guns n roses show this tour, but chances of it happening are slim. i do want to enjoy the show, and not have to worry about getting thrown out.

$1,000 per item or $1,000 for the set? I'd pay for it if I could find the guy.

I second that. I'd pay $2. If everyone paid $2 then you'd only need 500 people.  rofl

I'd paid $20 and im sure theres a fair amount on here that would do the same, but if the money was in front of whoever has it, the answer would probably be no Undecided

If people where just so fanatic in recording shows as they fight against eachother here then we could see the 2006 shows in 5 cam mixes with good audio from every show of the europian tour...but no,the only thing here is have no respect for recording people..

Only thing i can say is go to the paradisecitytracker.com and download everything for free we are gonna share everything and for free..there are some people that havent a acount there ...but we are changeing it. you can get an account easyer and faster now..there also are some that are blocked there that has his reasons.

I was just thinking:
In 20 years most of the people here are in their 40-50's, and all of the good (and unsurfaced) shows will be long forgotten and packed down in a box, if not thrown away....

I used to think: Cool to have shows that others dont have, cool to have the rareties, cool to have somthing to "trade for".
Now I dont really care anymore, I'm just glad people take interest in Gn'R....

The whole selling thing I dont feel much about though.
I just saw this guy in Norway that sold lots of stuff on a Norwegian auction site. I emailed him, and he sent me his list. Just all of the shows I already have, in dvdr. He sold them for between 20-40 $, and he said he had gotten tons of responses, and sold lots of them.

Now thats just BS, but what can we do about it. He told me he had been "taken off" the site bacause it was illegal, but still he got tons of requests and emails about the shows, making lots of money.

Yep this topic really explains all of it.
You should just close the forum and start a new one.
I suggest flower arrangement!
I long to see the fights about that.

I'm off to bed.
Maybe dream about it.

*************

I collect bootlegs because the best band in the world never released a live album. Yes, I am talking about Guns n' Roses.

"Live Like a Suicide" (the "A side" of GN'R Lies) is not a live album. That "live sound" is crowd noise over studio songs. Period;

"Live Era 87-93" is not a live album. Maybe an "instrumental" live album, but not a live album. Axl re-recorded the vocals on studio for pretty much all tracks.

So what do you do after you get exposed to "Ritz 1988" and "Indiana 1991" and "Rio 1991" and you find that somebody out there released CDs containing that very fantastic live music?

I buy it.

I am an unhappy fan. Happy are the Pearl Jam fans. Just check their "live" catalog.
