I'd be happy if Axl did some cover-intros like he used to do on the Illusions tours with Sweet Child, November Rain, Patience and Paradise City.

I think that'd be cool to do stuff like that again.

That's brilliant! There are a few technicalities involved there, but still...

.... I just got an image in my head of the old line up (minus Axl) singing it in barbershop style... and then on the other side, the new line up (minus Axl) singing it barbershop style... and then Axl in the middle of both of them looking back and forth with a "hmmm...?" kinda look on his face. Musical Tug-O-War! Grin

but didnt axl used to be in a gospel choir when he was a kid in indiana?? think i remember seeing an early interview of him saying something like that. It would be cool if it existed some old home videos of him and his brother singing gospel music..  just a thought Undecided

I'd really like to hear them cover themselves... maybe a song or two from the Illusion-era and a few songs from CD...  hihi

The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter (with Izzy singing Jagger's part and Axl taking the Merry Clayton vocal line)
Velvet Revolver - Slither (just 'cause the audience's faces would be a picture) Cheesy

Highway Star

"Nobody's gonna take my car, I'm gonna race it to the ground
Nobody's gonna beat my car, It's gonna break the speed of sound
Ooooh it's a killing machine, It's got everything
Like a driving power, big fat tires, everything"

Somedays you just need open road and a killer driving song.

I think the title is 'I've always been crazy', by Waylon Jennings...Metallica did an awesome version on Waylon Tribute album, but Axl's vocals would totally change the song.
