Ahh man I wanted to meet up with you guys.? I couldn't because? I had to work late.. and everyone seemed like they were flaking out on the pre party in the threads.? I sent out a few private messages a couple days before the show with my cell phone and no one called so I thought everyone was doing their own thing.? I could have made it right after work, but I wound up getting to the hard rock about 8pm ish.? Ahh well, maybe next time.? I thought about going to the rainbow but I had no idea how to meet up with everyone, I would of felt like fool walking up to strangers asking them if they were from htgth lmao.

Oh dude totally thought the same thing. This is exactly how it started. I was sitting at the bar with Andrea having some beers. There was no one with GNR shirts on at that point. Then this cool motherf'er (Uh (sorry bro) Axl something)) with ths GNR came in with this cool mother f'n chick with a red GNR shirt on and were walking around. They passed us and we said hey or whatever and talked about how excited we were about he show. Then someone I think mentioned the pre sale from a board and he asked if I was a member of a board and that was that. The dude...can't beleve I cant remember his name (whats up dude!) already seemed to know a couple of board member already and we all kind of introduced ourselves. It was nothing man. Everyone was as cool as can be. Great experience. Really hope we can all kick back again sometime. And Freak you are definitely one I was expecting to meet. Also Rhiad and Chief and I think a couple others. But yea, I hope there will be a next time. Its great having friends that totally understand how fucking cool GNR is. And drinking, smoking, and rocking out to GNR with friends is a damn cool thing. We will definitely have to have a repeat sometime. Really everyone from this board are so cool.

yeah I guess the only positive thing about not going to the pre-party was I got to meet Axl.  That probably wouldn't have happend if I went to the preparty.  But, it would wrather have met up and partied with you guys!

I'm SOOO pissed...I was right in the center and of course, Axl somehow manages to throw his mic to the left front of the crowd...I so would have caught it if he threw it in the center  Angry

Other than that, and the long ass taxi lines after the show, (thank God there was a limo around), the show kicked major ass  Wink

was he stoned?

in my opinion, yes

haha his eyes were like barely open
 yes

in my opinion, no - he just is like this way these days.....when i talked to him before the show he looked so happy and chatty and i thought, boy this guy has smoked already, how is he gonna pull off the show.....well, he pulled it off brilliantly. not a single fuck-up on his part, except maybe at the end of madagascar for a second. overall, he was on the top of his game. i don't believe a stoned person could play so well and behave so professionally throughout the entire show.

Well, not sure what to say... That show left me speechless. But I will give it a shot.? By FAR the best god damn show I have ever been too.

I knew it was going to be a special night when I walked into the joint, to be greeted by none other the Axl Rose. I purposely went late to the show since the venue was so small, I didn't want to stand in line. But, the doors had not opened yet when I got there, so the line was hella long. I decided to walk around the casino for a bit.

About twenty minutes later, Axl Rose walks in the door. If I would have went to the back of the line i would have never seen him. He had a entourage around him but he was very assessable. I walked up to him, shook his hand, he did that funky lean away from me shy handshake thing he did on the MTV Movie awards. i said have a great show, can't wait for you guys to go on.. He said "Thanks see you on the inside." After that everyone else started yelling "Axl, Axl" and they whisked him off to a private area. The cool thing is, he walked down the line and shook everyone?s had that was standing in line towards the front. All i can say was awesome.

So, with all this commotion, I was able to slip in line towards the front. I know I am a bastard but like 30 people left their spot to chase Axl, so I was like meh, why go to the back i will just slip in here. So, I got fantastic spot on the floor. I was about 10 feet away from the stage. Everyone was cool; no one was pushing or shoving where I was. I had a perfect clear view of the greatness.

As far as the set, it was pretty much the same set they played in Europe. No new unheard songs. They did play I.R.S, Better, Magascar, The Blues. They played the usual Appetite songs and November Rain. No TWAT.

the best way I can sum it up is, put the current lineup in the MTV Ritz '88 show. It was a small club like that, everyone was real close together and the stage was about waist high. Axl moved his ass off, it was just like the Ritz show. he was running and dancing likea son of a bitch.

The mix was pretty bad; Axl was low a lot of the time. He did sound fan fucking tastic though. He was on his A game. They recorded the show, I watched them but up giant audience recording microphones throughout the Joint.

During Better something funky happened with his ear monitor. He kept motioning to someone to turn it down. I don't think they ever did cause he got pissed and took it off. There will be another rant tape I am sure. During Paradise City for the 1st 30 seconds I could see him berating Merck off stage. You could tell he was in a tirade just blazing pissed. Then he came back out on stage, sang a few lines and stormed off again. I could see him off stage with Merck just having a total hissy fit. Before that, i could see Axl yelling into the mic, pointing at someone and screaming his head off. Not sure what happened but Axl left the stage mad again, and then came back to finish the song.

Axl was in a pretty good mood for most of the night, until the end. Something pissed him the fuck off. He told a story about Paul McCartney, he said that Paul?s kids told Paul that it was awesome that he covered a Guns n' Roses song. Was pretty funny.

Man, i don't ever want to see an arena show again. Small clubs is where it's at. Nothing like sharing that experience with only 1000 people. Axl was into the crowed all night long, he said it was nice to meet everyone out front..

This show should be all over the net soon. They didn't check anyone for camera's and I saw a few full size cam corders going during the show and about 50 camera phones.

That's about it. Best show of my fucking life.

I am so happy for YOU!

Hey Everyone!!!

Just got back home last night, I am still numb!!  That was the experince of a lifetime, and wish everyone from the board could have been there, as such the dedicated fans that we all are, it would have been nice.  I have never been to a more perfect GNR concert like that it completely just kicked f-ing ass and then some.

Since I saw them in Lisbon in June I would say that Axl has only perfected things along the way, and probably dropped an easy 20 lbs also, those shirts that were just a little snug now have plenty of room, for all of us gals out there Axl was definately looking very fine.

I think that the reviews people have already given are pretty damn accurate to the nights events, so I won't go there with any of that.

My husband Scott and I went to the Rainbow at about 6:15 or so.  Walked in and there were a handful of people around the bar, being the outgoing unshy person that I am I just walked up and asked them if they were all from the board, and low and behold they were.  That is where I met up with you Buddah, and your lovely wife.  It was all of you that I met, and I am sorry I cannot remember all of your names, that made this whole experience so damn perfect.  Thank you all for everything, I cannot even begin to stress how much fun I had meeting and partying with each and everyone of you, by the way I am the one that Buddah refers to as the awesome hippy chick who went to Lisbon, I love that It made me laugh so hard when I read that.  Like in Lisbon, it was great to meet some of the members in person, we are all such lucky people to share this same passion for GNR.  By the way I have all of us partying in Buddahs room saying hi to HTGTH on my cam, so will put that on here as soon as I can.  I love all of you, oh and to Emily, hope you made it home safe, and kicked your stupid jealous boyfriends ass for being such an idiot over Axl, he truley needs to grow up, and maybe as I told you while you were partying, you might want to think him over, as jealousy like that is not a good thing for a relationship, be careful!!!

While I was in the concert, I had people screaming at me from behind, from the balcony, and everywhere over my GNR jacket, frick everyone wanted that jacket, I even was asked to be in I don't know how many pictures with it, everyone loved it , thanks to all of them, I appreciate it, but It will be all that more cool if I can just manage to get it signed by Axl, and the band members, once I accomplish that task, I will hang it on my wall of GNR memorabilia.

Also while I was there, a couple of guys behind me tapped me on the back, (in regards to jacket again), after talking for a few, I find out that like myself they are from Seattle also, one of the two of them pulls a card out of his wallet and hands it to me, he works for a major ticket selling place here, and told me GNR will be here in Seattle, in December, and to call him, and he will get me best possible seats available, so if this is true, I guess I will be going to this one in style, maybe those autographs will come then, and will be more special due to the fact that it will be from my hometown.

Like Buddah says we could all go on forever with what we experinced this last weekend , but time I am running out of right now, but before I go I once again want to thank each and everyone of you who had anything to do with this event, and I want to thank Jarmo and Mysterion for the presale tickets, I appreciate everything everyone here has done to make my trip so memorable, and if anyone ever come here to Seattle, please let me know in advance, and I will help accomodate your vist, and get together, peace to all of you and I love you all bunches.  msaxl43

Well I just got back from the airport, (fuck you Delta airlines!).  I   just got off an over  night flight, so sorry if this is kinda random.
We got there a little before four o'clock, ten minutes later we realized we left our tix back at MGM, so there was some running around there.  We get back and we're by the doors to the Joint we hear one gury say to some other guy  "They're gonna tell ya to move, the line starts outside"  So we go outside and we're like tenth in line.  Awesome!
When Axl came out into the casino @ 8:20, people went nuts.  And full disclosure, he was shaking hands and talking to people on the VIP line.  The rest of us that had been line for four hours just got to see him walk by.  Oh, well, but everyone was relieved that he was in the building. Smiley  There were a lot of really cool people on line, and helped to pass the time.
So when they finally opened the doors, the only spot on the barricade we could get was off to the left.  We were right next to the confetti cannon.
Robin is my new hero.  He kicked so much ass.  Though I felt bad that half the time he came over to our part of the stage the spotlight guy lost him.  He was in the dark half the time.  Then the dude next to me tried to grab his hair when he came down from the stage.
Axl sounded great, looked great, and looked like he was having a great time.
At one point, someone yelled something from the crowd and Axl said "No, Basil Rathbone isn't here."  What the hell did that mean?
ISE was off the hook.  Best version of that song I've ever heard.
What was up with Ron's beard?  It was shaved into, like, swirls or something.  Crazy.
I thought the new songs went over pretty well.  There seemed to be alot of people there that had no clue about the current status of the band.
When I got back to the hotel that night, I took off my shirt and a whole bunch of confetti fell out.  So of course I took it home!
I can't make a more coherent post right now, I'll finish later.

Yeah, pretty much all the VIPs......most of these people had nothing to do with the band. they tipped off security to let them in before anybody else, only to ask stupid questions like who is this guy (regarding Robin) and "where's slash". Pissed off all the people who had waited in line since the early afternoon and had to stay behind such idiots who for whatever reason still wanted to stay at the rail the entire time.

my review of the 16th show!!!

The North American Tour has begun to almost a perfect
start and it was even better than I expected.  The
road has been kind to Guns and they are having a lot
of fun up there on stage.
Axl came out with red sunglasses and a white t-shirt
that said something like Youth Assassin and he was on
fire, seemingly on a mission.  I?d say that Axl
sounded the best I?ve ever heard him at this first
warm up gig in Vegas.  Unlike in NYC, the sound
problems were mostly all fixed and I could hear him
very well throughout almost all the show.   Axl nailed
pretty much every high note, scream and nuance in the
songs, which was VERY impressive to me because it
seemed as though he had a cold (I saw him get Kleenex
during the show and he was drinking a lot more than
usual).

The first 3 songs really fire up the crowd and the
band so it?s hard to imagine them changing that
because it just works so well!  They actually had
smaller pyro going on during this show including the
spark shower for November Rain.  The stage didn?t have
the Video screens in the back or the Chinese banners
though because the club was so small.

Every song was awesome and tonight I can?t recall any
big mistakes and that bodes very well for the rest of
the tour.
Better was really powerful and tonight I could hear
the little intro vocals pretty well.  The Blues was
the best version I?ve heard so far ? Axl really nailed
the vocals throughout and he stood on top of the piano
at the end which was awesome.  You Could be Mine was
another powerhouse which they really played well. I
think it could be cool if they opened with it but I
don?t think that would happen either.  November Rain
is really epic now because I think all three solos are
played very well and of course the vocals are very
good.  Brain did some different fills during this
song, which were nice to hear.  I think that during
the band intros Axl mentioned that they were welcoming
him back and he made a joke about how he ditched the
European Tour.

Patience was also the best I?ve ever heard.  Axl held
the last note for a really long time.
Rocket Queen was a request from Tommy ? Axl said that
he really wanted to play it.  They then proceeded to
rip that song up and it was one of the best
performances of the night [Fortus played the slide
solo].  Nightrain kept the high energy up and once
again had a long jammed out outtro with many solos
from everyone.
For the encore we got Madagascar which was beautiful
but also missing something because there were no video
screens.  After this the energy spiked when they
launched into the intro to Paradise City.
Unfortunately Axl?s mic stopped working after the
first verse and he ran to the side to ?talk? to
whoever was in charge.  He definitely wasn?t too happy
about this!  After the song was done and after all the
explosions and confetti flew in the air they quickly
left the stage.  After a little while they came out to
a loud ovation (well deserved) and a group bow.  I was
reeling. Even though I?ve seen the songs before it?s
still a shock to see this kind of spectacle at a rock
show; there?s nothing like it.

After the European tour, GNR is now much tighter than
they were earlier this year, they have great chemistry
and Bumblefoot (wearing a cool looking completely red
suit that night) is becoming much more incorporated
into the band.
For example, he?s now doing longer solos for Knockin?
on Heaven?s Door (although I think for this one he
should play it closer to the album version).

I think they could do without so many guitar solos
personally ? if I had a choice I?d cut out 2 or 3 of
them because it takes some energy away from the show.
Although I must say that it was nice to see that some
of them were different than back in May.  I also think
they should ditch Beautiful and do some other songs,
kind of rotate them around.  I usually don?t like
Robin?s solos that much but now they are shorter and
more creative, so I was glad to see that.  Bumblefoot
sometimes does these crazy tapping solos, which I am
not a big fan of ? I think that he does better playing
the bluesy type of solos.  However his Don?t Cry solo
is really well arranged and he nails it.  It got some
of the crowd singing along after they recognized it.
He is a great and energetic stage presence that?s for
sure.  Richard?s solos are probably my favorite, the
most bluesy of the bunch.  He has really impressed me
so far this year!!  I also was digging Dizzy?s solo
which was Ziggy Stardust.   Besides the guitar and
piano solos I think that the little interlude jams are
pretty sweet because they are all improv.  Sometimes
Axl joins in with some vocal melodies, whistling or
shakers.

Tonight?s show was so good that I think it is the best
overall I?ve seen them play, and I think they only
will get better with more touring!!
There really is nothing like seeing this band in a
small venue.  The energy and crowd interaction is
unmatched and you can really feel the band?s intensity
and in some cases their sweat. Of course there is the
always-fun moshers and crowd surfers, which oddly
enough weren?t near me!  The next night however was a
different story....

Some other bits that I remembered from throughout the
show:

I think during You Could be Mine, Axl even did a jump
from the drum riser to the stage (but not quite like
those epic jumps he used to do).

He was in a great mood and thanked us for coming out a
few times and mentioned that we were in a quiet little
city in the desert.

At one point during the show Axl?s mic stand hit the
drum kit and they were laughing about it.  The stage
is so small that people were running into each other
pretty often ? kind of funny.

I believe after November Rain, Axl went into the Elvis
voice and said ?Thank you very much!?

Robin fell down to the ground during Rocket Queen, and
that was kind of funny.

Axl told a story about Live and let Die: He found out
that Paul McCartney?s kids were telling him that it
was so cool that they covered a Guns n? Roses song.  I
loved it!!!

Also someone asked him about Sebastian Bach but Axl
replied that he wasn?t there today. He also talked
with a fan up in front but I don?t know what he was
talking about.
Some stupid people were throwing stuff and Axl
commented on that too asking them to ?be good.? Or
something to that effect instead of getting angry and
ranting.

Hey Everyone!!!

Just got back home last night, I am still numb!!? That was the experince of a lifetime, and wish everyone from the board could have been there, as such the dedicated fans that we all are, it would have been nice.? I have never been to a more perfect GNR concert like that it completely just kicked f-ing ass and then some.

Since I saw them in Lisbon in June I would say that Axl has only perfected things along the way, and probably dropped an easy 20 lbs also, those shirts that were just a little snug now have plenty of room, for all of us gals out there Axl was definately looking very fine.

I think that the reviews people have already given are pretty damn accurate to the nights events, so I won't go there with any of that.

My husband Scott and I went to the Rainbow at about 6:15 or so.? Walked in and there were a handful of people around the bar, being the outgoing unshy person that I am I just walked up and asked them if they were all from the board, and low and behold they were.? That is where I met up with you Buddah, and your lovely wife.? It was all of you that I met, and I am sorry I cannot remember all of your names, that made this whole experience so damn perfect.? Thank you all for everything, I cannot even begin to stress how much fun I had meeting and partying with each and everyone of you, by the way I am the one that Buddah refers to as the awesome hippy chick who went to Lisbon, I love that It made me laugh so hard when I read that.? Like in Lisbon, it was great to meet some of the members in person, we are all such lucky people to share this same passion for GNR.? By the way I have all of us partying in Buddahs room saying hi to HTGTH on my cam, so will put that on here as soon as I can.? I love all of you, oh and to Emily, hope you made it home safe, and kicked your stupid jealous boyfriends ass for being such an idiot over Axl, he truley needs to grow up, and maybe as I told you while you were partying, you might want to think him over, as jealousy like that is not a good thing for a relationship, be careful!!!

While I was in the concert, I had people screaming at me from behind, from the balcony, and everywhere over my GNR jacket, frick everyone wanted that jacket, I even was asked to be in I don't know how many pictures with it, everyone loved it , thanks to all of them, I appreciate it, but It will be all that more cool if I can just manage to get it signed by Axl, and the band members, once I accomplish that task, I will hang it on my wall of GNR memorabilia.?

Also while I was there, a couple of guys behind me tapped me on the back, (in regards to jacket again), after talking for a few, I find out that like myself they are from Seattle also, one of the two of them pulls a card out of his wallet and hands it to me, he works for a major ticket selling place here, and told me GNR will be here in Seattle, in December, and to call him, and he will get me best possible seats available, so if this is true, I guess I will be going to this one in style, maybe those autographs will come then, and will be more special due to the fact that it will be from my hometown.

Like Buddah says we could all go on forever with what we experinced this last weekend , but time I am running out of right now, but before I go I once again want to thank each and everyone of you who had anything to do with this event, and I want to thank Jarmo and Mysterion for the presale tickets, I appreciate everything everyone here has done to make my trip so memorable, and if anyone ever come here to Seattle, please let me know in advance, and I will help accomodate your vist, and get together, peace to all of you and I love you all bunches.? msaxl43

Everyone at the pre-party was fantastic, was awesome to meet you all and then some of you again on Sunday.  I am back in NY now and still trying to recover from this!

MsAxl how can you forget our shoe discussion on the street, hahah ok

As for the shows, well, they were even better than Hammerstein.  Total top of their game-I won't write a detailed review because it all already has been said-

Hey Rob!

I saw him after we left you guys at the bar and he was right up front when Robin came down into the crowd-

At least that is what I vaguely remember him telling me as I had a lil too much Vodka and beer in my system! beer

Hey Guys,
I'm a new member here, but have already met some of you at last weekends show in Vegas. Thank you to all of you who I met, and who helped make all of our nights a night we won't forget! For all of the GnR fans, each and every one of you was cool as hell!! I love the attitudes everyone had, and the fact that we all had the same passion for GnR. I have never met so many people who are like me!!

I just wanted to say thanks for all of your guys support with my boyfriend who is jealous of Axl (and why wouldn't he be jealous, Axl is one fine piece of meat!!). I appriciate all the posts out to me - and that I should kick his ass... Thanks MsAxl43, and for the advice. I'm glad your husband is so supportive of you and your love for the band...one day I'll find a guy like that too! Thanks too all the other people who helped us have a wonderful time! For all of you going to Bakersfield....I'm SOO jealous!! But i'm also out of cash, so unfortunatley I won't be able to make it.

When the rest of the tour is announced, I'm hoping for a show in Minneapolis, or at least within driving distance of. If anyone would attend that show, we need to get together! plus if they do come to that area, axlrosegnr will be there too!

ok well i know i'm late but i jsut returned from vegas a few minutes ago and holy shit the show was awesome. First off when i lef tthe hotel at 7:30 p.m. to go wait on line at the hard rock never in my wildest dreams i woulda thought i had a chance of shacking the hand of axl rose and robin finck. as already said im sure after the sound check axl lef the joint through the front doors of the club with security and shock everyones hand in the begiining of the line. as yes i was one of the lucky ones. i dont know what happened after he walked through the casino but eveyone was chanting axl.axl axl. and i think dizzy was walking with them but i could be wrong. i was so fucking stoked about seeing axl and shacking his hand that i totally lost it for a second.

So the joints doors open and of course i run right to the merch booth for a shirt. 30 bucks no problem. saturday night we had balcony seats which werent that bad but the crowd were i was sucked dick. fucking hooberstank. blah, yes hooberstank was in the vip section. After getting the shirt and making my way to the balcony elevator line, i meet robin fink walking off the elevator. no security just him and his guitar case. i say yeah robin as he walks by and he says hey man thanks for coming and we shake hands. he continues on his way towards the casnio. so in a hour i met both axl and robin...................my fucking head coulda fell off and i woulnt have noticed.
