Hahaha really?Huh

Ok, maybe I'll just play it safe!

Is america really that dangerous? I just cant imagine going somewhere and feeling unsafe. I guess thats because where I come from guns are completely illigal.

America in general is really not that dangerous, and i doubt you'll really feel that threatened in Oakland either, but Oakland has a bad reputation for crime, so its at least good to be aware of it.

I mean im happy to walk around red light districts (kings cross) in the middle of the night over here, so I cant imagine it would be much worse than that - certainly not in the day.

nonetheless I appreciate the advice

I guess they're no longer playing at the Oakland Arena, but at The Oracle instead.  Smiley

Anybody coming from SF and want to BART it over?  Anybody who works and can't leave early??  It's so far away but I can't wait.  I've got floor seats but can't wait in line till around 6:00 or 6:30 . . . hope it's not too late to get a good spot!!

I wouldn't recommend BART unless you can get a ride back to SF.  They stop running at around 12:30am

So apparently Eagles of Death Metal aren't playing this show because they've got a prior commitment.  That sucks, I wonder who GNR might get to open one show?

Oh tell me about it!

Its been 100 times worse for me because Im in australia and am travelling to the states on tuesday (the 28th)

Ive not yet received the tickets. Ive been trying for months to sort this out so that I could get them before I went. The drama! Firstly I sent about 10 emails to their support line, and got the same answer. I was more and more specific and they would not elaborate other than "they have not been sent yet. You will get it 2 weeks before the show"

(obviously this is useless to me as I am travelling on the 28th.)

I tried calling the australian subsidiary and they were a little more help because I could speak to someone on the phone, but they dont really have anything to do with the american operations which made it hard. I ended up coming up with a couple of phone numbers, and it took them ages to work out that I had bought GNR tickets at all! Then when I said that I needed them before, they were useless again.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy tickets from tickets.com.

They are hopeless. I am extremely dissatisfied by my experience. They need to provide more customer service to fulfill my concerns.

I ended up buying another set of tickets via ticketmaster in order to make sure that I can see GNR (im not flying half way across the world to have my fate decided by some dodgy ticket company). At least I can pick these up from the venue. When I asked tickets.com whether I could do that, theyre answer was like "I',m sorry, we're incompetent, theres no set proceedure for that so I cant help you. Good day"

What a joke.

^I agree. My experience has overall been pretty bad as well. I bought some tickets from tickets.com a few years back and it was never anything like this. Tickets.com originally charged my debit card multiple times, overdrafting my bank account and leaving me a whole weekend stranded with zero cash, unable to go to an atm. They weren't willing to admit they were wrong. Thank god my bank is amazing and spent the time arguing with them instead of having me do it.

Now it comes to actually getting the tickets. They won't ship them to my dorm, because its not the address on my bank account, despite the fact I had my bank verify with them that it was my address. So the tickets are supposed to be shipped to my dad's house, and I just have to pray that I have a way to get them to me in time for the show. They only garentee they will be at my dad's house within 48 hours of the show, and that is not enough time to mail them here, so I'd have to find someone to get my tickets from my dad and drive them to me.
