Who's up for meeting somewhere in Kanata Centrum like Boston Pizza, it's pretty close.

I'd be up for it.. I'm going on my own so some company would be nice.  Plus the buses to the arena run from there.

Sounds good.  I'll be heading up to Ottawa Thursday night from Hamilton.

I have an afternoon class so I will probably be heading straight to the arena, I doubt I can make a pre-show gathering (although Boston Pizza does have some good appetizers, I'm not exactly sure where the Centrum is).  I will keep my eyes peeled for faces I recognize or HTGTH shirts so I can say hello.  Although you will all probably be down on the floor...

Don't have a ton of posts here, more of a lurker, but I'm gonna be at the show as well, picked up a couple of floors from the Chez pre-sale.
May pop by a pre-party if there is a consensus on where it'll be.

Hope to maybe meet a few htgth'ers there.

I plan on going to Boston Pizza beforehand with a couple of Dust N' Bones mailing list members.

so is there a def place for the pre-party? and if so any rough estimates of a time people will be there?

I am unsure of when I will be getting to Ottawa, so I was wondering what times to try to aim for if possible Smiley

I'd like to know the time for the Boston Pizza pre as well. I'll prolly not be drinking this time round (famous last words) but hanging with some GnR fans as opposed to just the curious (which I would say would be most going there.. a girl at work told me her boyfriend bought a ticket after finding out SG was an opener) would be awesome.

Anyone got any idea if/where the boys go to party after?
Anyone with any experience in this stuff?
Do they usually just party at the venue or is there a hotspot in Kanata or whatever that groups usually check out?

TBH Ottawa is piss poor when it comes to proper nightclubs. But if they hit anywhere I'd say Barrymores or some other small rock club.

I'd be cool to find out where the guys might party after the show... It sucks that the Corel Centre is in the middle of nowhere, at the time these guys end their shows it will be well past last call by the time you get back downtown.  It would probably be best to just get a lift back on their tour bus...  hihi

how can you say that? Ottawa didnt get to see GNR in '02 like Toronto did, and there are a lot of fans there who are very anxious to see the band. Also, I am sure it will be a kick ass show considering it has pretty much sold out, so I guess there is at least a small interest in Ottawa

In all honesty, the crowd last night was more "into" it than either of the Warfield shows from last September, it was a very special night.

Plus Axl loves Toronto, and even said last night in so many words: "It's great to be back in Toronto, always feel the love here.."

Who knows, it might be a lot of the same crowd....  hihi

The only other concert I've seen at the Corel Centre was Velvet... and from what I remember Ottawa showed up big for that one, but I was down in the middle of the sweaty crowd at the front, so I wasn't positive about the rest of the arena.  I'm expecting no less for GN'R on a Friday night...  ok
