Why were the Axl/Finckaholic threads locked?

I thought they were fun and I'm pretty sure they didn't brake no rule, nor did they offend anyone. 

Correct me if I'm wrong, I just need a better explanation than "Ah, for fucks sake..."

You've been here for a while, right?

Then, as you know, we get a thread almost every month with a title like "Axl's like _sooooo_ hot.... Post your pixx"... 

The Axlholic thread was locked because I'm sure that there are already open threads where you can post and talk about Axl's pictures:

The Finck thread was... well... read the posts and see how good of a thread you think that would've made... You want to post Finck's pictures.. fine. Make a thread. But labelling it like that makes it look like it's just another "[enter member here] is soooo friggin hot...". Most you'll ever get out of a thread like that is "yes.. yes he is..." or "i'll have to disagree with you on that one. I find [enter another member here] much more attractive".  15 pages of that. That's not very good read for anyone. Now I know, I know... who am I to tell what topics are a good read. Well. No one. But we have taken the liberty to do a little bit of tweaking on what are the kinds of things we talk about here in HTGTH. Topics that are about Axl's umm let's say toes for example here, usually don't last very long.. topics that have been beaten to death are also on the 'no' list when I've been moderating. I'm not sure if this is Jarmos preference also, but so far he's had very little to complain about my actions.

But no.. no rules were broken in the making of that thread..

Well, I understand what you're saying about the Axl thread.

Concerning the Finck thread, I think you should have given it some time,
'cause I was only messing with EFISH in the beginning and it wasn't even off topic! 
If people don't want to read about how hot a member is/isn't, they can always skip this particular thread.
I don't see the harm in that.

Plus, Robin Drooling is not a beaten-to-death topic. 
Besides, if I make a Post Your Robin's Pics Thread, I think it will turn into the same thing.
Drooling is inevitable when it comes to Robin.

I told you they wouldn't last long here but I left it for someone else to do it cause you'd get pissed off at me like you just did on the phone...

Drooling over a few pictures is not something worth reading.

As Skeba said, you can start a thread where you'll post Robin's or Axl's pics, but talking about how hot Robin or Axl is, it's just not something most people like to read... It doesn't make sense.

Yeah they're obviously hot (selling out gigs does not happen to ugly people so often...), but do we really need 10 pages of girls posting smilies about it?

i agree with the mods those threads are silly. However, its great for once to see someone asking why there topic was blocked, or negative karma etc without them putting some noob rant calling all the mods fuckheads and all that.
