Of course my greatest GN'R highlight was last month's gig in Zagreb. To finally get a chance to see the band I've been listening to since I was a kid was a dream come true. And to top it all off I went to the aftershow and meet the DJ, Richard, Ron, Jarmo & Del. It was really the best day ever and it has to repeat some day I hope.  Smiley

Pics from aftershow:

I'm the guy with the Gn'R shirt. Don't mind the serious face, it was a  result of 6+ hours of wait in front of the Arena for the doors to open (yeah crazy I know, but I wanted to be the first there lol), 3 hours of Wasted Generation & Danko Jones (opening acts), like 40 minutes of waiting for GN'R and almost 3 hours of GN'R on stage so yeah I was pretty tired from all the jumping and that stuff. But it was all more than worth it.  Smiley

Only thing I regret not happening is meeting Axl and taking a picture with him but you gotta leave something for next time, right?  Grin

Well, all of the 23 shows I have seen are highlights, I have had the time of my life the last 6 years. My ultimate highlight, was seeing Guns N' Roses in Las Vegas on the 16th and 17th of September in 2006. It was such a magical time, and the band had Robin Finck and Brain still active, who are 2 favourites of mine.

Bare in mind, I was 17 at the time and I flew all the way to Las Vegas from London on my own. I'm extremely proud of myself for fulfilling a lifetime dream, still can't believe I did it actually.

It was so amazing walking around the Hard Rock Hotel and seeing GN'R members just walking by. One funny moment for me was seeing Robin and Richard by the Guns N' Roses Memorabilia stand. And they both were laughing at the clothes on display, like the leather jackets, tophats and cowboy hats. It was really surreal, I couldn't stop laughing at it all day long.

The shows were amazing and on the first night during the opening notes of Jungle. Robin looked right at me and smiled and nodded, I knew that he recognised me from the European and UK dates, a couple of weeks prior. That made my whole trip, and I will never forget it ever, thank you Robin.

Of course all the 10 times I've seen them, but the absolute best moment was getting Axl's microphone in Minneapolis. The ONLY thing that would top that is meeting the man himself (and getting him to autograph my arm so I can get it tattooed in.

Don't know the exact dates, but here are my highlights!
I'm 29, and became a fan in 1990 when I was in primary school.
All the kids in school wore Guns t-shirts, and we sang Used to love her and PC at music-lesson. (From all my classmates, as far as I know I'm the only one who's still 'bad obsessed'  Tongue)
I remember me and my friends jumping around while watching Paris 1992, and my bedroom with posters, flags etc. Imitating Axl/Slash at the same time with my plastic guitar, my nephew played the 'drums' with pencils Grin
I had the albums on tape (not original but copy's) and my first cd was TSI? when it came out in 1993. So that was also a great moment! AFD and the others followed soon after that.
Unfortunately, my parents never allowed me to see them live (I was 11 the last time they performed in Holland in 1993, so I can understand a bit why ) so when I saw them the first time in 2002, I really got crazy.
I've seen 4 shows (Hasselt 2002, Nijmegen 2006, Antwerp 2010, Arnhem 2010). Best show was Arnhem, I was 2 times before at the frontrow but this time I had the best place ever, and had a small interaction with Axl!
After that great show in Arnhem, I finally went to get my Guns tattoo, I wanted that so bad since I was a kid. And I'm really happy with it!
A year ago I went to Adler's Appetite, and met Steven after the show.

And now, my 4 years old son, gets infected by the Guns virus too  Wink

I was just listening to Shacklers' and realised how far away from home I was when someone informed me there really is something you should know. I went to the first internet cafe and got online.

It was so amazing to hear it there peace

- First time I saw GnR on TV. Must have been in 1987 (I was 10 back than) when the video for PC was on and they immediately blew me away!
- Everytime I saw them live: Pukkelpop 2002, Paris 2006, Nijmegen 2006, Antwerp 2010, Lille 2010 and Rotterdam 2012
- When Chinese Democracy was finally released after more than 14 years of 'silence'  Wink

Not really GnR related, but maybe a little bit, on the 13th of June 2011 when my first son Robin Axl was born...  Grin

Today NY Newsday happened to run an article on the Nassau Coliseum today and listed the June 17, 1991 GN'R concert as a highlight. They mentioned how Axl was 2 hours late n' had to be flown on by helicopter to a nearby Mall parking lot than driven to the venue. When he got there he went to a hot tub in his private dressing room. I recall this concert vividly because it was my 1st GN'R concert. I was just graduating from  high school N' 21 years later I am still hooked on GN'R!!
