This thread can be used to talk about anything that has to do with Aerosmith. What's your favorite songs and albums?

My favorite albums are Pump, Get A Grip, Permanet Vacation, and Toys In The Attic.  [ok]

Yeah Angel is a great song and it was also Aerosmith best song on the top ten Billboard. It made it to number 3. But the song I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing went to number one but, they did not write it.  Still it's a cool song.  Wink

I like most of their 1970s stuff. They got some good stuff in the 1980s.

Aerosmith Contemplating OzzFest-Style Tour

Aerosmith has just a few dates left on its current tour, which kicked off in the summer of 2001. The Boston group will be recording a new album in 2003--possibly a collection of blues covers--but it also plans to be out on the road again next summer.

Guitarist Brad Whitford tells LAUNCH that it won't just be another round of touring, as the band has some pretty big plans. "We're looking at going out again next summer, but we kinda want to do something a little different, and maybe put on our own event. We're looking at doing something more like an OzzFest-type thing, and making much more of an event out of it, rather than just what we've been doing the past couple of years. That's something we're trying to put together, and we'll see what happens with that."

Whitford says it's too early to identify any bands that might be on an Aerosmith festival bill.

The group next plays tonight at Van Andel Arena  Grand Rapids, MI.

I think Aerosmith should talk to Guns N' Roses about joining the tour with them. That tour would be the best-selling tour of 2003 and would also kick ass.  [drooling]

I love Aerosmith but strictly in the 70's sense when they wrote all their own songs and weren't concerned with scoring top 10 hits. Check out Rocks or Toys In the Attic when they rocked like motherfuckers.

Aerosmith-Kiss Tour Back On For Summer '03

The joint Aerosmith and Kiss tour is apparently back on for this summer. Promoters are reporting that the two bands are currently putting together an itinerary that is likely to play mostly in arenas, although some stadium dates are also possible.

Neither band is officially confirming the tour, however. Aerosmith, in fact, spoke with us earlier about plans for an OzzFest-style festival package for the summer, but that's apparently gone by the wayside.

Kiss singer-guitarist Paul Stanley was asked last year about touring with Aerosmith, when the rumors first began, but declined to confirm any plans with Aerosmith. "We're in this enviable position that we're still finishing up our farewell tour, and we've already had about two million people say, 'Don't stop,'" Stanley said. "And at that point, we're kind of scratching our heads and wondering what we're going to do next, so we're really kind of keeping our options open. If the right situation came along, anything's possible."

Kiss, meanwhile, is preparing for a February 28 show with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Australia, as well as three dates (March 11-13) at Budokan Hall in Tokyo. Drummer Peter Criss will be rejoining the band for these shows, while lead guitarist Ace Frehley has not officially confirmed his participation.

Aerosmith plans to record a new blues-oriented album this spring before the tour.

Aerosmith.....the early stuff is amazing,it rocks!!! but in the 80's for ome reason things changed too much and they began to sell out sadly....I own "Pandoras box" which is made of 3 cds all with their 70's music, the best.

Aerosmith in the 90's is really weird, they have become some kind of rock n' gum band but I still have hope that their new one will see them retirn more to their roots. They are a legend anyway.

AEROSMITH and KISS will embark on a co-headlining North American tour beginning in August and running through October, according to Billboard.com. The tour of approximately 40 dates will be produced by Clear Channel Entertainment and is expected to play 90% amphitheaters, with arenas and possibly a couple of stadiums also in the mix. KISS will perform in full makeup, sources say, and AEROSMITH will be touring in support of a new Columbia blues album.

"We want to really try to get everybody in a room at the same time," bassist Tom Hamilton told Billboard.com about the album last September. "It's funny because it triggers all of the competition and uncomfortableness that we've always had going into the studio, and it's going to mean everybody is going to have to be open, vulnerable, and brave, and go in there and do that process like we used to do it."

I was hoping for the Aerosmith OzzFest-Style Tour.
