Hi, I love rock n' roll in general, but maybe my other passion in music is female voices... R&B, pop, rock whatever...
I just love some great voices... Here are a few of my favorites these days...

Joss Stone
Natalie Merchant - Ex 10000 Maniacs
Andrea Corr - The Corrs (of course)

can you recommend more ?

there is no song of within temptation called nightwish. there is a confusion that appeared on the internet that within temptation did a song with the singer from nigtwish but that's not true.

Anneke Von Giesbergen - The Gathering

Oh yes, her voice is just beauty refined to its finest. Marcela Bovio is a singer similar to Anneke, she's awesome as well.

Jennifer Warnes, who's worked and sang with Leonard Cohen, also has a personal and beautiful voice. You can for example hear her in Take This Waltz.

Yet, my favorite female vocalist has to be Yma Sumac, a.k.a. Voice of the Xtabay. The five octave Peruvian marvel just pwns everyone else so hard.
